Qantas First Lounge in Singapore

We will be in the TPR with SQ on Friday.
There is no chance we would go on a 737 to get to Singapore out of Perth.

(I'm having issues loading photos so will add later)
Tea Smoked Duck with pickled cabbage and Chinese mustard.

The duck was divine on its own very discretely flavored presence. The mustard was "kick cough", so used to accompany the cabbage. All brilliant!

Grilled Barramundi with charred lettuce, croutons and caper, anchovy and parsley butter.

It was Ok, leaving a nice flavour. Charred lettuce was interesting. There was some ordinary vinegary cabbage that I left.

Stir fried black pepper beef with onion red capsicum and jasmine rice.

Rice was perfect. The beef somewhat tender, It had a peppery "asian" flavour - all the normal stuff with a pepper overtone. I liked it even if in the end somewhat salty.

Cheese ain't on the menu - but can be had on request. Small portions but really good!

Is it immediate close, or from 20 April when the flight changes kick in?
From the wording on the newsroom I would say 20th.

“The suspension of the A380 and First Class from Singapore routes will see the Qantas First Lounge in Singapore close temporarily, with customers instead invited to use the adjacent Qantas Business Lounge.”

I think QF must have a different understanding of what the word adjacent means.

Last night I paced the distance between the base of the escalators that lead up to the Business and First lounges respectively. It is at least 200 metres.

I visited last night prior to QF36 and was disappointed to hear when I got back to Australia but understandable considering how air travel is bleeding globally but particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.

I got there at 4pm and it was quiet but got 80% full by 6pm; but last time I went there it was so crowded I ended up walking in the terminal.

I arrived 7pm for QF38 and it had emptied out significantly. I did note that at least 4 QF flights back to Oz departed from concourse D.

Has there been any news or updates on when the First Lounge in Singapore is going to re-open?

I read somewher it reopens the day before QF1 QF2 resume its stop via Singapore, which is 19 June.

Bugger!! I'm going to be there about a week before.

Off topic, but Qatar's lounge opened last week. Was the only guest there from 730-830pm last night prior to my QF82 flight. Excellent attentive service, love the decor, and love the a la carte menu with a coughtail bar (https://www.qatarairways.com/content/dam/hia/pdf/qr-singapore-lounge-en.pdf). Not sure how busy it gets given it's a much smaller place, but would much prefer this over the Qantas J lounge (for those without F access)
