Qantas First Lounge in Singapore

Not sure if this belongs in this thread, but for those accessing QF F (or maybe even QR J) at SIN, do you have another meal onboard overnight to Australia or do you try to maximise sleep?

Depending on the menu, I may maximise sleep tonight and order breakfast instead

Wonderful friendly service. This time had lots of time in the lounge due to delayed departure of QF36 on 16 Feb.

Tried the prawn toast special for Chinese New Year and it was moreish.

Re-tried the dry prawn noodle and this time the dish was actually tasty and flavorsome including the soup.

Chocolate lamination hit the mark ready and ready for bed once boarded.

Finally tasted the prawn wonton and it was ok.

The special coughtail dragon surprise was just a bit too citrusy for me towards the end but nice and refreshing to start.

I've stayed up a few times ex SIN/CGK/MNL and have always regretted it. The Qantas meal service just takes too long, and frankly, the food isn't worth losing sleep for.
Fully agree. SIN/CGK are already short enough as is, by the time the FA’s are done chatting with everyone and clearing everything you’re 3 hours into the flight.

The word Qantas is seared using a iron template on to the skin of the mandarin? Or a stamp with edible food ink?
I just realised my Mandarin segment wasn't Qantas branded! I must complain to my otherwise very attentive catering staff!

I actually have a semi legit question, I didn't stick around to find out, but when QF1/2 is delayed until the next morning, does SIN F lounge open up in the morning or do they Shepard everyone into QF J ?

Could it have been supplied by one of the subsidiaries of Qantas perhaps? :p
You mean another "segment" of Qantas
They knew QF2 wasn't around and that i was on QF292! What great attention to detail. 😂

Here, had the Prawn Wontons - terrific as usual.

"Chef Linda's dry prawn and pork har mee with beansprouts and chilli."

This was divine - I've been in KL all week and had plenty of noodle based dishes, but this was better than any. Not "spicy" but the flavour was exceptional. The secret is in the Broth ...

F lounge won’t open for the delay. Everyone will be moved to the J lounge. This came from the lounge management when I asked them previously

My take on the lounge.

Fairly spartan, OK for a quick bite and a couple of champagnes, and then move on to the QR/EK/BA lounges, as takes your fancy.

But, of course, everyone's opinion is a personal thing...

Just thought it was worth saying.

It's a cafeteria, but that is what it is, similar to LAX.

The staff are great.

The EK lounge has more of a Lounge Feel.
