Qantas First Lounge in Singapore

New menu in SIN F last night.

Neil has found a way to bring back the Jiangxi style barramundi, just in case anyone wants to relive 2019-2023 in-flight business menus. I went for the tried and trusted prawn wontons and signature laksa, no pics as we've seen them plenty in this thread already.

Menu feels a bit lacklustre compared to the usual high SIN standards.

oooh! the plant based options look very appetising! Too bad I don't have any upcoming flights via SIN :(

Tried the Gado Gado the other day. It was pretty tasty. Described to me as an Indonesian salad that you then mix yourself. That seems an adequate description, but I'd add that it comes with a satay sauce.

Also had the barramundi, which comes with steamed rice and pickled vegetables.

Decent service, as always in SIN. The only downside was the guy on the phone at the table next to me having a right old complain to his mate in a video call.

Visited last week.

Super attentive wait staff and a wonderful meal meant I got a good four hours sleep on QF292 back to SYD.

Apologies if it's hard to read, you may need to zoom in.

I tried the Chef Linda dry prawn noodle and did not find it as enjoyable as I had hoped. I think the flavor from the soup diluted the dry noodles. But on its own it’s missing the punchy prawny flavor from the sauce if that makes sense. I know I’m a bit critical as I grew up with a taste and concept of how the noodle should be 😢
