Qantas First Lounge Spa

On Wednesday, I arrived at 10 am and the first time available was 11:30 which was perfect for a 12:30 departure (which, though was delayed).

Managed to book a spa appointment at 12 noon before my final flight for the year on a JQ domestic run which was running over an hour late

Last November I arrived at MEL First lounge approx. 5pm. I was asked at reception if I would like to book a Spa Treatment.

As usual when I have had such offers over the years I politely declined. :)

A few weeks ago now but showed up at the SYD FL at 6.30am on a Tuesday for a flight departing after 11am. Was able to get an appointment at 7.30am when the spa first opened. Seems like I would have had a few other options too if I wanted them.

I had similar last year when I arrived to MEL for a work trip to AKL, and took up the offer. Was a nice break between my breakfast and lunch :p

Does anyone know whether the SYD F lounge spa opens on public holidays, eg. Good Friday?

Probably, but good luck getting close. Once and once only I’ve been the QF First Lounge of GF - never again. Standing room only!

Probably the busiest day of the year and best avoided - but I guess that advice is too late? 😳

Wow, really? I had no idea. Yeah, too late now. Oh well, it is what it is.

Yes it is
Thanks for confirming.

Now when it’s said “it’s for First class PAX only, I’m presuming that’s on QF flights (not BA & JAL)

Whoa, you weren’t kidding, were you?! Sheesh! :p Waitlists even for the dining tables. Not pinning my hopes on being called to the spa today after a pretty good strike rate over the years.

You'll be surprised how many people noshow for spa treatments so its fairly frequent that there is a chance you can get in.

I got in at 850 and was waitlisted but ended up getting a treatment an hour later.

0815 arrival for a 1320 flight and got a spa spot at 1100 the week before Easter. Happy days, in between the Dallas flight and QF1.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the spa treatment times are getting shorter and shorter? Last couple of times I’ve been there and had a treatment, it lasted for around 15 minutes or less which hardly seemed like it was worth bothering.
