I'm thinking of buying a voucher to avoid the international CC fee, does anyone know if there are any QFF points awarded for a "regular" voucher transaction? Doesn't say here: Qantas gift vouchers | Give the gift of experience

Looking at MEL-LAX return in Sep on QF93/94. Currently the sale fare is $1936.02 (fare $1300, taxes $636.02)
I may have missed it somewhere, but am I able to use say 2x $500 vouchers (if I bought them) and pay the remainder on my cc?

PS. my 10x bonus points haven't been posted yet either..

You can only use one voucher per booking.

Why buy that much voucher? You only need a $50 voucher to achieve your aim. Not sure if they earn points or not. I would guess not.

In case there is a standard 1 pt per dollar earn with QF directly (which was my question) that's why I enquired about buying the highest value voucher.

I ended up getting a $50 voucher. The worst that can happen is that I missed out on 450 points.

My recollection of the purchase process is there is no way to include your FF number. With the promo the number and voucher had to be registered later. So I don't think you'll miss out on points, unfortunately.

If using a credit card with bonus points for Qantas purchases, then it is worth getting the higher value voucher.

The bonus offer finished 26 December 2010.

At the time I purchased 4 vouchers.
Each voucher I payed for with AMEX Qantas Premium Gold card.
I received QFF Points for using AMEX, bonus points because it was a Qantas purchase, and am now waiting on the bonus points from the vouchers to appear.

It actually makes no difference as the balance when booking is paid to qantas and hence earns any bonus points from your credit card

I though you had to use vouchers on a flight before getting the points?

Heads up ladies and gents. Looks like the points are starting to flow. Just got my 7,500 for my $750 of vouchers purchased.
