Noticed today that my vouchers have now "disappeared" from the Your Bookings part of the qantas.com website. I had entered the QF FF number on ba.com. They still show if you enter the PNR. And the QF FF number is there on checkmytrip.com and ba.com
[conspiracy theory]
Maybe too many have been redeeming these vouchers. I guess QF are hoping for some "breakage" with the redemption of these and by being able to attach your QFF number to them and have them show on YourBookings reduces the chances of that.
[/conspiracy theory]

I made a booking with one of these vouchers, and cancelled the flight..

Red-E-Deal....

Now I am told that I can't use any of the left-over credit from the voucher as it's "non-refundable"

Have to ring and argue again.....

I don't think that's the problem. I purchased a few vouchers in July or August. Put in my number via BA and then tried to used them via Mybookings. Anyway, they screwed up completely, I couldn't search for flights at all. I rang qantas, the CSA removed my details and that fixed the problem. I just assumed there was some conflict with the new website, which might explain why they've now removed the QFF number.

I've been having trouble recently too. Have had to book a number via the call centre. Not always the most pleasant experience as you have to try to explain what is going on and some call centre staff are not the most pleasant at all times. I haven't tried to redeem one in the last two or three weeks though, so hopefully it will be back to usual soon. It used to work so smoothly until about a month ago.

I must have been lucky as I got someone who a) understood my explanation, b) knew that they just need to remove my QFF number and how to do that, and c) checked the voucher would work for me using the website.

I think the key learning is to not insert FF numbers. Perhaps this will increase breakage, I definitely forgot to check off one of my vouchers when I used it. That made it hard to track things down later on.

I believe who ever fed you that line got it wrong. It should not be any different to any other red e-deal.
