I received this today - but note the closing date in the last paragraph .

I followed the survey link and it allowed me to fill in the forms.

It looks like being like a mini-AFF.

Anyone else get this 'exclusive invitation'?

I didn't, but your idea of being a mini-AFF reminds of the Woolworths community, and I guess they both look at AFF and want tighter control.

Oops, just realised I didn't include a copy of the letter. Received 15 Dec, supposedly closing 3 Dec .

I've been a member of the 'Customer Advisory Panel' for some while but this appears to be different. After filling in the survey, they say they'll get back to me if I'm selected to be a member.

It depends how they use this advisory panel.

Questions can be manipulated to provide the exact answers desired, leading to program changes which the participants never intended... all under the banner of 'customer demand'.

'Would you like to maximise sleeping time on short overnight flights?' - voila - passenger feedback has demanded cafe breakfasts.

You get the idea.

Its goodbye to QF and hello VA, no matter what, from now on. Even toasted sangers in the VA lounge will be a sad consolation to me, for what someone at QF did. Sniff and sob, pulling out a klenex.
Will be deleting any more surveys from QF after what they did.
Small meaningless piffle to some, but if they couldn't even fulfil a plane for a few diehards to fly ADL - MEL, what hope is there where are bigger fish or pointers or questions, they can easily consider, irrelevant.
Bah.

Is it just me, or do others struggle to understand the point AustraliaPoochie is trying to make?

Looks interesting, wish I'd got an invite :D

You don't actually need one. Somewhere I found a link that, once I had filled out the details, ram raided me on to the panel. Not sure I could find it again though.

This was after having once applied and got the 'sorry, not this time' response.

Not just you mate. Beware! Serial thread-jacker at work.

It's probably got something to do with ADL/Trans-Tasman/Widebody Jets/Status Points (oops I mean credits)/Size of food portions. But which of those it is, is anybody's wild guess.

They swapped the last 767 into, but for me, more so, out of ADL to MEL.
I was hoping to do a last hurrah sort of thing, saying goodbye to the old girl, that was the type of plane I flew SYD to KUL with in 1996/1998.
That was when QF flew that route.

Sounds like your threat is out of spite AP - how many widebodies are on the other side?

Thanks for the clarification; it would be useful if you made this point in your first post. The toasted sandwiches in the QF or VA lounge are connected with the B767 because... ?

And how is any of this immediately relevant to this thread?
