Shared the Wolfie with a few friends over dinner. Was a really nice drop! :D

Planning on drinking it next weekend with a good steak. Glad to know it is worth drinking.

Dragging out an old thread. I was just browsing the epiqure wine list this afternoon. I noticed Best's Great Western Pinot Noir. It seemed to be cheap compared to usual Pinot Noir prices. Has anyone tried this wine? Any good?

I tried to find a bottle at Dan Murphys but the arrangement of the wine was atrocious. I could really find any pinots

Since joining epiqure i've ordered a few things. It's a mixed bag price wise, the Billiecart Salmon pricing is/was excellent, but the same red (the Glassner Bishop) that we had at the QFF lunch at Rockpool was $1/bottle more than the per bottle price I can get it for (and do get it for) at Dan's.

4 points per dollar, plus another 1.5 from Amex is good though!

Spot on with the Billecart-salmon. I ordered a case for Christmas, local Dan Murphy's was $20 dearer per bottle
I haven't been to any of the events yet, some look quite good.

$20! I've been tracking the price at dans and first choice and I thought the 6 bottle price was about $66.40. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing.

Edit: I'll probably get a case but a bit hard when Moet has been $45 and SWMBO says that is her favourite.

You are quite correct medhead.
The price is now similar at Dan's and epiQure. When I bought mine (about 3 weeks ago) my local Dan's had it on at $86 a bottle
This is my absolute fave NV but even I baulked at that price

Damn! I was half hoping I'd misread and epiqure was offering a vintage (or something) for that price. ;)

I really do have to say I am very impressed with the speed of delivery. I placed my third order yesterday about lunch time and it arrived this morning. I'm a convert now.

Not I. Ordered on Saturday, email this night to say the goods were dispatched. checked the tracking tonight and the status is unchanged - still lodged in Sunshine. One package going to Adelaide the other to Brisbane.

I'm also happy with both speed of delivery and the quality of the product. On my fourth order and have booked for the Ultimate wine fair in Sydney in October.

Only placed 2 orders thus far but both delivered within 2 business days - to TSV. Pretty good compared to a lot of other companies, who tend to make a big deal out of the distance thing but the reality is: it's 2 hours by air or overnight by road BNE - TSV.
Prices both times were cheaper by a couple of dollars compared to Dan's and 1st Choice. That combined with the 1.5 points/$ with the Amex made for good buying IMHO.
I regularly order from a number of Tasmanian cellar doors and it's often 3-4 weeks. (No biggie there - I have plenty to drink while I wait...)

Has anyone had their membership renewed for another year yet?
Mine now shows expiry of 2013 :) don't know if that's due to orders placed or otherwise

Ditto, same here! Deal of the weeks this week is pretty average, Bin 128 for $185 for 6, $161.40 at winemarket.com.au

Those that have been renewed, roughly what quantities of orders have you put in. If that's too personal to give out, I've only recently ordered 19 bottles and it still shows a 2012 expiry. just trying to gage what's required for renewal.

I havent ordered anything - though I did attend the Manu private dining session. I was also at the AFF/P1 lunch launch at Rockpool and was promised EpiQure membership.

Mine is still showing 2012. I received the comp membership for the October debacle, but then qualified P1 in March so not sure what is happening with mine since my QF membership year ends July 31.

I thought it might have been the lunch except markis10 wasn't at the lunch
Maybe it's a computer glitch and the renewal will be "enhanced" once it's been noticed ;)

EDIT:Slaps self to be quiet, after all QF KWIA
