I received a letter in the mail about 2 months ago indicating they were renewing me for free for another 12 months. I had only ordered 1x 6 bottle case of Mt Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge Shiraz (was about $5 less than normal a bottle through epiQure - always a reliable drop though).

Thanks everyone. It was nice while it lasted. At least I have a deadline for getting the Christmas bubbly in. :D

re: Qantas Frequent Flyer Launches Premium Food and Wine Community "epiQure"

was missing points credited from July so called Epiqure customer service. The spend was wine $169 on the 10th July and event $395 on the 12th July. The lady said no probs I will get it looked at for you. Low and behold the points got credited straight away and I'm a bit miffed? 8485 for the wine :O and 1170 for the event. Somehow they have granted me a 8000 point gift, any clues?

You get 8000 points after your 4th dozen purchase.

Mine just credited today! :D Now just need the 4000 bonus points. I'm quite happy with this epiqure malarkey. I was a big sceptic at first.

re: Qantas Frequent Flyer Launches Premium Food and Wine Community "epiQure"

This thread prompted me to go and order another case... sites down though :(

I've been fairly impressed with the program overall. They're not wines that I'd usually buy however I haven't come across a bad one yet. I'm very taken by the Yering range, especially one of the reds that I can't remember but it actually got me back to drinking red again. Interestingly the prices have jumped from $17 to $26 a bottle!

Hopefully I'll get comped another year, otherwise I'll probably end up paying for it.

re: Qantas Frequent Flyer Launches Premium Food and Wine Community "epiQure"

I like the service too. But am holding off any further purchases until I get recently earned bonus points :)

Mine is still 2012 but goes till Nov so still time and hoping for another comp year. Have ordered quite a bit. Expiry date doesn't seem to be linked to my QFF year which end Sep.

Has anyone gotten their 4000 bonus points yet? I'm also still waiting...

re: Qantas Frequent Flyer Launches Premium Food and Wine Community "epiQure"

Nothing received here as yet

re: Qantas Frequent Flyer Launches Premium Food and Wine Community "epiQure"

No bonus points yet and the delivery speed seems to have slowed somewhat: last order submitted 21/7; delivered 30/7. This is slower than the 1st deliveries but on par/slightly quicker than 2 other clubs I've ordered from recently: order: 19/7; delivery 1/8, and order: 20/7; delivery 2/8 and still quite acceptable. The other 2 are cellar door-only wines so price comparison with retailers is slightly moot.
Comparable pricing combined with the 3 x points earn still makes it worthwhile IMO: 1269 FFs for a $423 spend plus another 1.5/$ from Amex. Points credited 1/8: 10 days after order, exactly the same time as the 2000 bonus for the 1st order. All good.
The 8000 bonus is for 1st 48 bottles, so while I've ordered 4 cases (including 2x6s), I haven't bought 48 bottles yet. So no 8000 bonus :( ...yet.

Complimentary renewal on Epiqure

Hello there, I have been pondering whether to renew my Epiqure membership -- it is up for renewal soon -- and today I have received a pleasant email to offer complimentary membership for year 2.

Now to be fair, I have bought about 4 dozen from them, and I am a WP, but I thought that was awfully terrific to receive the second year FOC!

Has anyone else received this offer?

Re: Complimentary renewal on Epiqure

Yes, a few have been noted in the epiqure thread. I was iffy at the concept , relented and joined, and I have been happy with quite a few offerings they had.

Re: Complimentary renewal on Epiqure

Just saw this and joined for 12 months free :
Here's a top travel hack for Qantas frequent flyers: grab free membership in the airline's epiQure wine club, a deal valued at $99 or 13,000 points.
All you need is your frequent flyer number and a special promotional code – which is loungejoin – and one year's membership of epiQure is yours.
Qantas describes epiQure as "an online community offering you a wealth of wine, events and rewards", including three points for every dollar spent on wine orders as well as tickets to food and wine events promoted through the site.
Here's how to start earning frequent flyer points for your plonk.
1. Head to qantasepiqure.com.au and click the Join now tile to the right of the page.

Same here, especially as SWMBO works for a major wine company so supplies are rarely low. I have bought about 10 dozen since joining in October thanks to some of the excellent offers they've had. So I might just have enough wine to see me through to the New Year ha!

Re: Complimentary renewal on Epiqure

Thanks for the tip - joined for free!

Re: Complimentary renewal on Epiqure

The free join was discussed here: http://www.australianfrequentflyer..../free-epicure-membership-12-months-45162.html

And if you have just joined, you missed a cracker of a bonus deal!

http://www.australianfrequentflyer....gram/epiqure-bonus-8000-points-any-45334.html

However all is not lost, until early next week its 6 points per $ spent over $200, as a new member you get a bonus 2000 points on your first dozen and 8000 on the fourth dozen, so if you order the fantastic $150 mixed wine dozen x 4 you will get:

10000 Bonus points as a new member
3600 points for the spend.

If Qantas epiQure members spend over $200 on wine purchases in one single credit card transaction by 11.59pm AEDT 17 December 2012 the number of points earned doubles to 6 Qantas Frequent Flyer points per dollar spent

You also get an extra point per $ spent at QFF restaurants.
