Thanks for sharing, I couldn't find the link but I think I looked before they added the functionality. That or didn't look hard enoughIt looks like QFF have added the ability to retrospectively add a carbon offset to your booking.
Go to your My Bookings page and each individual booking should have an "offset this trip" link

Unfortunately it seems like it's only possible to offset using points at the moment, for approx 100 points SYD-BNE, approx 750 BNE-SIN (both J - not sure if they are charging more for J vs Y)

from someone who has installed solar you will be disappointed at how little credits it generates as the Electricity providers have cust the feed in tarrifs dramaticallyNot sure how the personal economics of this work out-cursing my big household . Also assuming already installed solar will count-the big roof makes for big savings
For me, the credits are only peripheral to the daily savings but we are a high-usage house (pool-pump, multiple washing loads etc)from someone who has installed solar you will be disappointed at how little credits it generates as the Electricity providers have cust the feed in tarrifs dramatically
My selection option appeared today, two weeks to the day after receiving 5 green leaves.
Please keep us posted on how it goes!Same here, qualified for Green on 25th March, award choice appeared 8th April. Took the SCs as I still have a long way to go to Lifetime Gold.
Like others, I have noticed this hasnt shown up Activity Statement / Transaction History which is hopefully just a lag that will resolve so these stick as lifetime status credits.
My 10k miles have still not shown up on my transactions or Pointless Club yet, weeks later. Please keep us posted on how it goes!
If it helps anyone else to know, I have finally had a reply today that the reason the carbon offset didn’t trigger a green tick, is that I added my Qantas Business Rewards to the booking, and that renders the carbon offset ineligible for the green tier programme. It has to be solely in the name of the individual making the booking and offset. I still can’t see that referred to anywhere in the T & C’s, but at least now I know. Now day 16 after carbon offsetting a revenue flight on QF metal, all ticketed and paid for, acknowledged on MMB page, but no green tick for that activity. Last activity needed to achieve the green tier, so I guess its off to the endless wait on the phones I go.
Yeah that's bs. All my bookings are qbr bookings and have registered for carbon ofdset and green tier.If it helps anyone else to know, I have finally had a reply today that the reason the carbon offset didn’t trigger a green tick, is that I added my Qantas Business Rewards to the booking, and that renders the carbon offset ineligible for the green tier programme. Yes, I thought it was odd. I’ll do another booking without the business rewards and see if it makes a difference. I did the wellness app quiz 10 days ago too, and still no tick for that.Yeah that's bs. All my bookings are qbr bookings and have registered for carbon ofdset and green tier.
Wonder if I’m in the same boat. I’m 3+ weeks after booking the offset and am waiting for a reply from the email customer service team about why it hasn’t progressed to green. If it helps anyone else to know, I have finally had a reply today that the reason the carbon offset didn’t trigger a green tick, is that I added my Qantas Business Rewards to the booking, and that renders the carbon offset ineligible for the green tier programme.
