Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

I elected to offset my Sin-Syd flight on 22/4. Have not yet received the leaf despite sending a screen shot of my acceptance to the frequent flyer email address. Any suggestions apart from contacting the call centre?

Thanks.

My understanding, and fellow members can correct me if I'm mistaken here, is that enquires regarding the Qantas Frequent Flyer programme (such as status credits not posting or not receiving leafs after buying carbon) is handled by a different team than general flight enquiries (i.e. rebooking flights that got cancelled by QF). In my experience call them to sort out QFF issues, namely why I didn't receive a status credit rollover, was that my call was handled quickly (i.e. within 10 minutes).

My guess and experience having purchased carbon on a QF flight for AKL in January 2023 is that the leaf will take some time to post. Likely 3-4 weeks rather than the same-day posting QF is famous for!🙄

That's correct, Qantas Frequent Flyer has its own call centre in Manila completely distinct to the reservations call centres (Hobart, Auckland, Cape Town, Fiji).

Somewhat unrelated, but thought I'd ask - what if I call Qantas and select a language other than language (i.e. defaulting to my secondary French language), would I get a different call centre? Would the wait times for reservation handling still be atrocious?

A bientôt!

Now that I am in a new membership year for the Green tier...

I made a QF booking that was before my new membership year. I then waited until my new membership year to make the carbon offset on that booking and another leaf turned Green for me. Great to know. Adding the carbon offset later on does work.

Just hoping that the Green tier Wellbeing quiz rolls around again, but that sounds like an every 6 or 12 month calendar year thing.

OK, it's not really about Green Tier, but chasing Green made me load the Wellness app, and the Wellness app notified me of this deal...

... if you have never had a hearing test with Audika, there is a promotion right now to get 3,000 QF points with your first test. Just did this, takes 10 minutes at their clinic at an appointment that was arranged within a day. Replaces (almost) all of the points I had to donate to Ozharvest.
Just did the test. Easy 3k, thanks for the tip.

I've scrolled through but can't seem to find anyone with this issue.
I've booked a domestic flight a while back with a travel pass (from a covid cancellation credit), I want to offset to complete my leaf collection, but there is no option to do so. Is this because I've booked with travel pass or am I just blind and the option is there somewhere?

Don't bother, it seems like they don't even credit this leaf for paid flights after multiple follow up attempts anyway...

The credit comes from paying for the offset, not for taking the flight. If it doesn't come through then it should be raised as an issue shortly after payment is made.

I'm aware of that, I was making the comment that it almost seems useless to offset flights whether paid, reward or credited at this stage given their inability to properly allocate the leaf to peoples accounts. I have followed up twice now including sending requested screenshots of my account to QFF 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything since.

I'm trying to figure out how to offset an int'l flight on QF, booked through the QF website to get the leaf toward green tier. Can't for the life of me figure out how to do it? Can't see any option in flight management to do this. Am I missing something, or can you only offset outbound flights? (flight is LHR-SIN-SYD)

Has anyone yet:
  • unlocked green,
  • Waited to their next membership year to redeem a benefit,
  • Selected the 50 SCS (did they get backdated?), And
  • Is green teir reset and available to earn again in the new membership year?
Yes to all. Just did it yesterday. Counts towards my tally for P1 retention (2700 QF Marketed)

Retrospective adding the carbon offset has only just become available, but perhaps only for domestic bookings? It was previously the case that carbon offset had to be chosen during the booking/payment process.
