Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

Yep that’s one of my options that I am considering. And the other one is the unknown haha
You mentioned “wine” earlier. Was that just the delivery or a “green” wine? There are a few reasonably priced wines that earn a leaf.

I do not know the answer to that @KingHuang (it would have to be a fully refundable flight of course.)

Perhaps the more experienced AFF's might have some insight? Personally I would not do it.

Is it possible to stay one night at a sustainable property? (though not the most cost effective way to achieve one leaf.)
Staying at a sustainable hotel this weekend, will report back how quick the leaf falls off the tree.

Think either challenges or check up can’t remember top of my head. Otherwise probs google it
In the QF Well-being App, the link to the quiz is at the very top. “How sustainable are you”.

Website says that if you use the 24 hour free refund window, then the offset would also be refunded and I imagine the leaf would not be awarded.

So, stayed at the Melbourne City sustainable hotel Sunday night.

Green leaf dropped today, just 2 days later. Noticed cos had a small green tier points drop, saw 5 green leaves, congratulations blah blah, choose your reward, took the 10k points, added to my total within a minute.
Didn't add to points club, but didn't need it as already qualified for PC+.

Didn't as yet extend green tier for another year. Expiry still December 2023.

Note; Green Tier achieved without flying.

Glad to confirm that after some engagement with the FF service centre (one call, one missed return call, three emails) the 50sc are now credited.
For the record I renewed GT just before the end of my membership year ending in 2023, and the option to select an award never appeared, likely because I'd credited the GT SCs for my membership year ending 2022 at the start of my membership year ending 2023.
They appear to have counted towards LT.

@MooTime may I ask where you stayed and your impression if it was Alto in Melbourne?
Yeah Alto it was.

Ordinary hotel. New carpet in rooms, corridor was uneven & 20+ year old carpet.
Reasonably clean inside room. Shower door buggered, dirty under the beds as we had to move them a little.
Only 4 levels high so no views. Car park only had 6 spots, homes in affluent suburbs have more.
No idea how it's considered carbon neutral, cardboard access room cards, big deal.

Sufficed our stay, but wouldn't return.

Appreciate that info @MooTime , will not use Alto for Green Leaf 🌱

I keep getting this error when trying to purchase the TAS carbon offset for $20. Any ideas? It happens whether I use the address lookup or enter it manually

When I did it 12 months ago I don't recall needing to input a delivery address.

Trying to get the 50 SC for the second year

The offset was quite expensive $110~ is that worth?
Are you able to select TAS and pay the $20 for a 1 person offset even if you live in a different state? Or is there some check in place where your registered address needs to match?

I'm not sure I've seen this one asked before; I'm going to sort out GT for my wife, which will help push her over the threshold for WP, for the first time. My question is on the CO2 offset for a QF flight.

If I do the offset on a booking which I made, but where she is also travelling, will she also get the leaf for this, in addition to myself, or does it only go to the person that paid/redeemed points to do the offset? In the event of the latter, could she do the offset on a booking that I had made? Would that show up as on option in her bookings like it does mine?

Cheers,
Matt.
