Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

If one adds climate positive delivery for $1 to an Ozharvest donation does that qualify for 2 green leaves? I am thinking sustainable & give back.
It did in the past, it still should.
but only if you haven’t already got that leaf via Green wine - as I discovered by accident. I forgot to add to a wine delivery but hadn’t realised it was a Green wine anyway…(same leaf category).

I have purchased climate positive delivery and made the Ozharvest donation. Hopefully 2 leaves will appear soon. Total cost 2690 points plus $3 spent on Carbon Neutral Flying. One leaf to go - perhaps Red Energy Greenpower as already a Red customer.

When carbon-offsetting a booking with two pax, will the two pax get the green leaf?

I sort of think that was the case from past personal experience, but I realise a booking I have made earlier, and later offseted, didn't give the leaf to Mrs ChrisMars. As I already had the offset green leaf anyway before that booking, I didn't pay attention, but now I have 5 months left and no plan to travel, to get that carbon offset leaf for Mrs ChrisMars, to retain gold. Not the end of the world if it doesn't happens, but would be nice. Wondering if it's worth chasing with the call center, assuming the two pax are meant to get the carbon leaf. Thoughts?

Just confirming 2 leaves duly turned green.

I don't believe it does. My understanding is it only comes across for the person who made the booking. That being said, I hope I'm wrong and it's worth the phone call.

Last year, an offset (I'm pretty sure at time of booking) gave a green leaf for both myself and Mrs excel.

Worth a call @jen100
Both got offset - one PNR and booking is in my name (though do not recall if it asked me to select all passengers in the booking)

Not actively seeking green tier for Mr Flyfrequently but he got his leaf within 48 hours, I got mine and also the x 10 points for the payment.

Has anyone actually got anything special from having this green tier? Let my lapse as it seems like greenwashing feel good nothingness. So has anyone got any of these alleged exclusive offers?

I won a draw earlier this year for a set of 4 tickets to the Taronga zoo. So there's that!

We’re in it for the SCs or marginal points but yes, there have been “exclusive offers” that have been well attended!

Well yes, they say there are exclusive offers. Is it safe to assume you've got one of these offers?
Yes, unfortunately I couldn’t make it to the Four Pillars eco-coughtail session in August. I think there might have been another that was snapped up before I could book it.

Must be because I give my business class dollars to Qantas' oneworld "competitors".

Personally, the lack of "exclusive" events and the basic IT problems* mean I find no value in green teir, personally. Always check here to see if that might have changed.

* IT problems - adding carbon offset to a flight after booking, and multiple phone calls and emails later Qantas cannot add the tick, and refuse to even acknowledge the problem. Documented on a thread here somewhere. I notice very recent posts where others are still having the same problem. Now if I got an exclusive offer that might have made up for my wasted effort dealing with the Qantas inability to actually provide what they promise.

I just returned from a stay booked through Qantas Hoels at the Crystalbrook Bailey in Cairns. At the time I made the booking last March this wasn't listed as a "sustainable hotel" but is now. Once my PC points post for my stay I'm going to request the green leaf as surely its the status at the time you stay and not when you book that matters?

Has anyone else managed to retrospectively claim a green leaf for a a sustainable hotel that was classified such after they booked? If so what email addy did you use?

I was quick enough to accept an invite to a gin class in Yarra valley, Vic. Was a nice arvo out, coughtail making class.

I very seldom fly QF.

Reporting back with a positive update.

Even though my points for QF Hotels stay and Bonus PC points have yet to post for my recent stay at the Crystalbrook Bailey in Cairns, I did get 600 green bonus points and also the green leaf.

So the property does not have to be a green one at the time of booking, just at the time of stay.

Last year when I looked, all the Sustainable Properties were outrageously expensive but with addition of the Cyrstalbrook properties there are now affordable options.

Just need to use my wine voucher on a sustainable sip and all 5 leafs achieved without needed to offset my holiday home in Tassie.
