Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

In recent experience, how soon does the email with the GT reward arrive after the last leaf completion? A friend “just realised” (🤦‍♂️) he is short 50 SCs (membership anniversary 30 June) and I’m not sure if he will have enough time - T&Cs state 21 days. Has anyone got it sooner?
I patiently waited 21 days, nothing.
Called up and it then took only 48 hours.
My suggestion would be for your friend to just call @Capricornus

Today I'll need to place my fifth call to round out my Green Tier journey this year. This is to see if I can get my 50 SC bonus for my Green Tier. It's been an interesting journey over the past 2 months...
First two calls were around the wellbeing app not reflecting with the tick, they managed to manually click that over. Third call was due to even though having 5 ticks to achieve green tier it didn't show. Last call was around Green Tier showing what I thought was correctly, however on closer inpsection with an expiry date that showed "today", yet changed each day. A week after that I finally got the congrats and you've unlocked email - select your reward! Click on the link which takes you to the Green Tier page - no ability to select the reward. At least the website correctly shows that I have Green Tier - I even got the lovely animation on the phone app - still no cigar...
Fifth time lucky! Called around lunchtime today was advised it would "happen today" - no new link or prompt to select, I had the 50SC manually credited earlier this afternoon.

Just shifting this discussion into this thread, where it belongs:

Round #4 went to Qantas with this email I received this morning:

Thank you for contacting the Qantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre.

Hope this email finds you well.

Apologies for the delay response we understand that your request should be responded in a timely manner.

We appreciate you wanting to add PNR Booking 6MW2M8 to your Green tier as part of your "Carbon Offset" Category. However, as per checking booking, carbon offset was added after the member took the first trip on April 24, thus, ineligible for Green Tier.

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Round #5

I have just gotten off the phone to the QF Loyalty number, where the very nice lady there has looked at my correspondence, and can see I did indeed get a Green Leaf credited last membership year for 238 points on the return leg of my PER-KTA-PER flight.

All I am asking is the same occur this membership year.

At my request, she has now asked for this to be escalated...

With just 19 days left in my membership year, this is coming down to the wire...

Round #6

With just 15 days left in my membership, I have just been left a phone message advising my Offset Flight Green Leaf has been credited. And the 5 leaves are showing in the app.

Hopefully the 50SC gift offer will appear in the next few days, although I will not need to use it till July 1.

Big thanks to @sudoer for his advice and encouragement - you really do need perserverence to hold The System to account these days.

"Keep the coughs honest"!!!

Just to close this one out, the 50SC gift offer appeared via email on Wednesday, so four days after the final leaf dropped. It does not (yet) show as a pop up in my profile, though.

I'll activate on 1st July so it appears in my next year's tally.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I've got the offer available in my account now and it says choose your option. From this point if I click redeem how long will it take to credit? Is it up to 21 days? Or will it happen immediately? Most of the waiting appears to be related to getting the leaves itself.

Anyone got any tips for an easy/easier flight offset? My review date is 30 June and the only flights I have booked at the moment are international for 3pax so would cost ~25k pts to offset.

Don't suppose the offset a random flight thing still works (did it ever)?

If you were to book a cheap flex fare with offset but had to cancel that (for cash or voucher) after the leaf posts, you might be in luck. The offset 🍃 posts in about 48hrs.

Alternatively, do any of the cheap Green Hotel Stays work for you?

Can you confirm the leaf is credited before you actaully fly?
Does anyone know if this is still the case, or if it's just taken more than >48 hours recently in the last few weeks? Or has this trick ended in the last month.....

The leaf credits soon after you have paid for a flight offset (24-48 hrs). I have always booked a cancellable domestic one way flight with offset and then a month or so later cancelled the flight. Green leaf has never reversed (and why should it - the offset cost is never refunded).

Finally came through for me - took 6 days from paying for the offset to the leaf appearing / points posting.
