Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

Oh i thought that had been enhanced, useful to know otherwise!!
It was, but seems to have been reverted.

I could have taken 2x last member year but didn’t need to. Instead set myself up for 50 SC start to the new FF year (Aug) and will wait to have another ready to go a few months out from Jul/Aug next year.

Outstanding, thanks all!

She only needs 30SCs to keep silver this year, but i've told her it'll be best to fall back to bronze, and use the 50SCs next year as she has a lot of work travel planned and will have a better shot at hitting gold.

The 2x 50SC in a single year cannot be done twice in a row right? I.e. I can complete the challenge in y-1, pick the reward in y, complete a challenge and pick the reward in y, but then in y+1 I can only get one serve of 50SC, right? Just checking I didn't miss something.

Another green tick for 116 points

I purchased a uber voucher and added green delivery.

The uber voucher wasn’t the best use of points but a green tick portion was a winner.
I will use Uber tomorrow.

You could have paid cash for both parts of that, would've been better value imo., just flagging in case you weren't aware (although it's too late now obviously).

Looks like it's much more expensive to achieve this year! I will be glued to this thread as I missed out on the donate voucher 😟. I only need 2 more leaves by April. Donate and sustainable living/hotels. Offset home and car now $50 minimum! Sustainable hotels all quite expensive as well. I might have to churn to Red Energy but would rather not. Will wait and see what turns up...

I thought some the Accor hotels up in QLD were reasonably priced? I have no current trips that way planned but if I did I’d consider booking one night rather than pay the Tassie offset for my last leaf.

Speaking of increases, the flying offset has gone up a bit also. One way SYD-MEL used to be $0.99 (which being less than $1 meant a leaf wouldn’t sprout). Then it went to around $2.5 return. Just booked a trip the other day and it’s now $5.60 SYD-MEL return. I almost cancelled and rebooked as two one-ways but couldn’t be bothered…to save $2.80.

Wait for when Qantas Hotel is having a sale. I got 5 nights at Crystallbrook over New Years for a steal last year and came with a green tick and a healthy serving of bonus points.

But this was a stay I needed to make, I wasnt just looking for the leaf.

Does Qantas Hotels have a general sale?
Or do you have to keep checking individual hotels?
Going to Canberra soon and QH prices not very competitive 😟

There are sales/promotions form time to time. I always compare booking direct with hotel (especially where I have status) but every now and then QF Hotels has a great deal.

Sometimes, they also occasionally offer 9x points/$1 which can be pretty lucrative. Can you combine any of the various hotel vouchers to book a green hotel? General question as we get them every year and I always end up burning them on some random airport hotel or something.
