YesI got GT in mid-OCT. My new membership year starts on 1 JAN.
This means I can just wait until 2 JAN to get the 50 SC, right?

have they? Changed it how? What's the cheaper way to get GT these days - they've changed the old Tasmanian ranch option ages ago.

Yes, if you can stay somewhere (there’s a bunch of QLD Accor properties), then whilst it’s technically more expensive, you’re getting something real for your $s.I got green tier last year without need to offset my Tasmanian holiday home and likely will again this year.
Quiz, offset short domestic flight with points, donate small number of points to great barrier reef, use wine vouchers her to buy cheapest eco wine. And I stayed at a green hotel (was going to stay there anyway and used hotel voucher and booked during triple points promo). So no cash spent specifically for GT.
I'd even say switching red energy plans is better value than holiday homes if you also get bonus points, I mean one needs power.Yes, if you can stay somewhere (there’s a bunch of QLD Accor properties), then whilst it’s technically more expensive, you’re getting something real for your $s.
True - but any idea what the difference is in cost of bills, approximately?I'd even say switching red energy plans is better value than holiday homes if you also get bonus points, I mean one needs power.

I never saw the point of going for points (no pun intended). Too much work for so little gain. Whereas SCs aren’t easy to come buy without stepping onto a plane. Also based on the increased points cost for Charity Redemption 3,200 and Tas Offset 8,400 the points cost to achieve green tier is now more points that the Green Tier award.
So GT appears to only be worth going for it if you feel its the cheapest way to earn 50 SCs.

So the question is whether I can get the four non-charity leaves for less than $68.
