Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

Finally credited with my missing green leaf. Just two more to go by end of June.

I did the charitable donation and holiday home last night and both green leafs showing today.

Hi I did not complete my green tier last year, 01/03 (today) got reset I reckon. Wondering if completed activities (3 leaves -last membership year) would roll over to this new membership year? pretty sure it did last time.
Also is it a glitch that "On or before Friday 28 Feb 2025" ? cuz it's already 01/03/2025
Anyone experience the same issue ? should i wait a few more days until the date issue is fixed before trying to complete the green tier?

I haven't heard of completed activities rolling over to a new membership year.

The only ones that would are the quiz (you can’t retake it) and the solar panels (for three years).

When the quiz first became a thing, I was able to re-do it in year two and got the 100 points (or however many) too. Last year and this year that category has rolled over (Reduce your impact), although I was able to do the Saveful thing when it came out last year and also get the points that offered.

My year end was also yesterday, first thing nothing, then by around midday the "Reduce your impact" had gone green, so just takes a bit of time.

I offset a current short domestic booking about six weeks ago and no leaf as yet. I emailed a while back and received the standard generic blah blah reply regarding eight weeks and so on.

Almost stuffed up today. Booked some short domestic hops under the current sale and thought I should purchase an offset since the flights are in the new member year but quickly aborted because the leaf would post in the current year (ending July)!

Hit and miss nonsense with this approach, works about 50% of the time, the other 50% the points never get taken and you never get the lead (ime anyway, YMMV).

In these cases, I just wait for the need to book something like MEL-LST/CBR/SYD/ADL and offset that when purchasing.

This always seems best. Short domestic flight and pay the offset in cash $$$ at the time of booking the flight.

There was a time when some offsets were $0.99 and didn’t sprout a leaf. Speculation was it needed to be at least $1.00 (although nothing that explicit in the Ts&Cs).

AFAIK, most offsets these days are > $1.

On Qantas Marketplace, buying a $25 Uber gift card and selecting climate-positive delivery (even though it is sent by email) is also good for a green life.

Yes, you can add it to anything on QF Marketplace, including the “Giveback” donation leaf and “Offset your home and car” (for the “Sustainable lifestyle” leaf). But if you’re there buying something else, may as well tick off the “Choose sustainable” leaf while you’re at it.

In the early days, you could just purchase the “climate-positive delivery” by itself….. That hack was quickly “enhanced” before I knew about it - not that it made a difference.

Seemingly, and only if booking online (i havent been able to do with wp seat requests)

Haha yeah my first year two of my leaves were from $1 things on their own. And the Tassie $15 days after that ah well, it was nice while it lasted!

Yes, $ when booking, points retrospectively (but doesn’t always actually work retrospectively, as above).
