re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

How long do pending points from flights generally take to appear in the Aquire activity statement?

A week from you taking the flight till them posting as pending, however they'll remain pending until you hit 20k points a year!

Thanks. No sooner had I posted my question and they appeared, or at least the records of the flights (JASAs) appeared but with zero for everything and a note saying 'Booking class not eligible'. Presumably Aquire thinks my flights were Classic Awards. Have others had JASAs post the Acquire points successfully post 'Simpler and Fairer'? Is there an automatic adjustment as per the QFF account?

I believe JASAs are not eligible if my memory serves me correctly from an earlier post.

I concur. They were valid during the initial promotion before the program launched, but not anymore.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

JASA booked in classic award fare class aren't eligible. JASA booked in other fare classes should be eligible. (Subject to me double checking my statement)

Fair enough. Thanks all.

Yes, so a true-ASA, where you weren't booked into a marginal fare bucket would be fine.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

This thread is monitored by Aquire to see that the program is working well (or not) for members, so if you do pick up issues, posting them here could have them rectified by Qantas without even a call, depending on how frequently they check.

Perhaps kalboy's issue (post #383) can be looked into for instance, regarding why truck hire from Budget does not earn, when a truck is more business-related than a car sometimes.

Seems that Budget don't include truck hire, bit silly as a truck is more business related than car hire

While I see many people are frustrated with earning/not earning Aquire points from QFflights I have had no real issues and the program has been both lucrative andtrouble free for me in that regard. Rightly or wrongly having the 20K flight earn per year before it can be accessed suggests to me that the “Aquire business rewards program” is not aimed at smaller business enterprises. I also assume most medium business entities purchase the majority of their goods and services on a credit/corporate account with some sort of discount structure?

Following on from Kalboy’s experience with Budget and samh004’s comment that this thread is monitored by Aquire I would like to voice my negative experience with one part of the program in the hope someone may look into the possibility of change.

So here goes…

The business I manage is a member of the "Aquire Business Rewards Program" but we are ineligible to earn Aquire points from the two Aquire partners we already conduct business with because as a business we have an account with them

"Your business can start earning Aquire Points from many of the things it already does, like purchasing office supplies, printing, banking, parking, renting a car and flights*." Unfortunately this has not been my experience – with the exception of QF

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

That's a bit of a worry because when I signed up with a partner that sells stationary I nominated as a business not personal. If business accounts don't earn that is highly counter intuitive.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

I haven't trawled through all the posts on this thread so this may have been answered before: but where do you add your ABN on the manage my booking webpage?
Sometimes I get the option, other times I don't....

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Re the office supplies....we also had the same problem....it seems that they are still working out the best fit of the Aquire program with their business. We also could not get Aquire points utilising our existing account. The silly point was, that by using their online system, they would not deliver to our postcode, but we did not have the same problem utilising our account. This has now been rectified, and I placed a small stationary order online in order to get the 10,000 bonus points. This was the only business we had trouble with. We changed the type of credit cards with Westpac and now receive points for all our credit card usage each month. We now have 165K aquire points. It is working well.:)

It would be in the spot where you update your phone number and FF details. If the option isn't there, perhaps it's not eligible, or you just have to call. Eg. All my bookings have a link to click to change the details except a classic award, but that wouldn't earn to Aquire anyway.

I am sure you will get your points as you signed up on the .com.au site.

I sent an enquiry into the partner that sells stationary and they advised that we have a business account and we log into it through a different address so we are not eligible. The person representing the stationary partner went on to tell me that the .com.au site was more aimed at people buying school supplies "like my daughter" with full price products but our business account had a discount structure and account manager to contact etc as we were a business customer. I had a similar response from hire car partner our account is with. Both conversations actually started with Aquire - what's that?

I setup an account through the .com.au address and purchased a one off $2- item like everyone else so will get my bonus - I doubt this is what Aquire were trying to achieve.

Re: Qantas Acquire Program

For those wondering what the account looks like as it switches from pending points to actual points, here's a screenshot from today :)

The grey entry is a JASA.

Re: Qantas Acquire Program

Question on the current Acquire promotion
My daughter has just signed up for QFF with the free promotion happening at the moment. She does not have a QFF credit card. If she signs up with Acquire, (she has an ABN), purchases something from Staples – and gets the 10,000 + 10,000 bonus points being offered, converts them to Qantas points – would she qualify for the following as a new QFF new member?
“ Plus, as a special welcome gift^, you could receive 10,000 Qantas Points if you earn 10,000 points in the first three months of your membership!“
In other words, is transferring the points from Acquire the same as earning QFF points for the purposes of the above offer?

Yes, I believe that it is.

Re: Qantas Acquire Program

She will be stoked if that is correct. Hopefully she could end up with 30k Qantas points for the price of the $50 Acquire sign up.
