re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Although you may have pre-registered, you do need to register your ABN via www.aquire.com.au to become a member of the program.

This is so we can match your pre-registration to your flights, and also ensure the terms and conditions have been agreed to.

Once you’ve completed the necessary steps (pre-registering, entering an ABN in your booking, flying and then registering for Aquire), the points will credit to your business’s Aquire account in 6-8 weeks.

We appreciate your enthusiasm, and hope this helps to clarify the next steps.

Does anyone else think the mass email today announcing the launch was poorly written? It thanks the reader for pre-registering, but the Join Now paragraph at the end implies that it not cognisant of whether or not you pre-registered.

Please see my earlier post regarding the registration process and next steps.

Was there a a way of identifying which members had their information compromised?

Thanks for your concern ketsuzei.

All necessary actions have been taken and the matter is resolved.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Perhaps a technical question about fare buckets. In particular G fares. I notice in the new earning tables G is considered a red-e-deal.

Aquire excludes earning for groups booked in G and G is not listed in the Aquire airline earning table.

That implies, to me at least, that G is only used for group bookings. Is that a correct assumption?

Thanks Red Roo. I will now have another go and finished my Join Up.:p

G is for group bookings AFAIK...

I'm sorry, but this response is still sitting poorly with me.

As someone who signed up before the security glitch, I believe true "resolution" requires some reassurance that my privacy was not breached.

You may need to make that request in private, seeing that this is a public forum. Then they will be able to address your personal and private concerns. I'm sure you'd be able to PM Red Roo to seek assurance about your own personal circumstances. (Not having a go at you, just making a genuine suggestion.)

Which I already did yesterday.

I'm not expecting Qantas to tell me on a public forum that my privacy has been breached. That should obviously be done proactively behind the scenes. But the lack of any public statement that they are completely on top of the breach and have contacted all relevant parties doesn't instil me with confidence.

Except they have made exactly that type of public statement here, minus the bit that involves revelling other people's private information.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

The online activity statement will commence listing Eligible Flight transactions by early May 2014, after which Eligible Flights will normally appear on the statement within 7 days of travel. However, they will remain as Pending Aquire Points until the business has: (1) accumulated at least 20,000 Aquire Points on Eligible Flights; and (2) at least two different employees have taken Eligible Flights in the applicable Membership Year. - See more at: https://www.aquire.com.au/faqs#sthash.QZ1kEEkb.dpuf

Cool. I can now go back to sleep.

So we need two employees? I'll have to add my mum

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Do they need to be employees, or just friends willing to have you enter your ABN in the booking...

I don't think I'm the person to answer, but in the spirit of the program I'd say they have to be employees.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

I'm happy to employ all my friends...I just wont pay them :-D

But seriously you all know that I'm not that mean... But I can't see how this would not be open to abuse... Large family etc...

Perhaps it's the first step of Qantas family pooling

Might be worth reading the terms and conditions of the program... perhaps they say something there?

On another note, samh004, you'll be interested to read this one from the FAQ...
