re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

"This will not happen automatically"... has much lately?

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

even the pre-register didn't automatically happen... we had to register twice...!

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Hang on we pre-registered once and registered once. No twice involved. ;)

On another note, samh004, you'll be interested to read this one from the FAQ...

That's another 2400 Aquire points just in March! :p

I'm easily going to hit that 20,000 points in the first year, but it's going to take a lot of phone calls to say where are my flights... from May (per earlier info about when points should start posting).

A rough calculation of mine, based on pre-registering = earning points on those flights, along with bonus points on flights December through to February would yield about ~40k just up to last weekend. But then I've done some rounding. I anticipate this becoming a lengthy phone call in May/June if things don't credit automatically.

yeah yeah, correct again medhead...

How silly of me to suggest otherwise, we all pre-registered for the bonus points (500) per flight... it's the new "simpler" process.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Hmmm received this from Staples...an Acquire partner re points....

PS - Aquire is a new Qantas loyalty program designed to reward businesses for doing many of the things that you do already every day.

The accrual of Aquire Points is only available to Staples.com.au business customers. The Aquire program is not available through Staples Advantage.

Staples.com.au business customers do not currently hold an account with Staples, there are no discounts for products that are ordered on a regular basis and no account management. You can place an order on this website but there is no support given except for the 1300 number you can call to follow up with deliveries/returns, etc.

I hope this makes sense, but basically, the aquire loyalty program is not available for existing customers of Staples.

Seems like the Staples loyalty people don't quite understand loyalty either??? I thought we were a business customer but apparently and "advantage" customer. The op also stated that the prices appeared to be better than what we get offered as an "Advantage" customer as well.

Sounds bizarre. Guess it's inevitable when you're owned by Solomon Lew.

Re: Qantas Acquire Program

500 points bonus per flight for the pre-registration...? ;)

Re: Qantas Acquire Program

I have points posted - all from beginning of April - the bonus points happen later I think.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Nothing here...wonder if that's a problem?

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

I'm still confused about this whole thing. Excuse me for the dumb question but once we have setup an Aquire account is there nothing else to do except make sure that our ABN is added to our bookings? I thought there would be something in the Aquire account itself to link eligible employees FF accounts but I cant see anything. If 2 employees of the company travel on one PNR with the ABN number in the booking will points automatically flow through for both?

I've had points come from 3 different people so far but haven't had 2 on the same booking as yet. Can't see it would be any different though. So yes - all you have to do is register and then you put your ABN in any employee booking and the points flow - sitting on over 11,000 pending points already, so making 20,000 will be easy - should have them by end of July.
I assume the computer matches the ABN in any booking with the list of acquire ABNs and if it finds a match then transfers points to that aquire account.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Yes as far as i can tell! My pending transactions have both employees listed with individual points earn, and travelled on same PNR. Though My daughters were excluded

That's interesting - how old are your daughters?

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

I have 11000 points pending from this months travel for myself and my employees (wife and daughters) nothing for any previous travel or sign on bonus.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

I have some 6000 odd pending points from flights in April.

Bunch of flights since pre-registration and 500 bonus points/pax/flight all still missing.

All this should put me over the 20,000 min points - fingers crossed.
