re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

I don't see any points appear in my account from my previous travel (after pre-registering).. Will I need to claim these? Also is it free for the first year? (I did pre register)

Scroll up... basically seems like points are yet to appear for anyone, and yes it's free for the first year.

Also, if you'd like 1000 easy points: Free: 1,000 Qantas Aquire Points and one year Regus membership

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Appear to be quite service oriented! I have already had a phone response to my frustrated email of this morning, explaining what was going on. I was able to tell them that Red Roo had already been proactive in explaining what to do and they agreed their wording had been a bit lacking. As a bonus I was also able to complain about the fact that Qantas code share destinations like Nairobi do not appear in the earnings calculator. :)

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

You exchange at 1:1 but no info on earn apart from the introductory period. So the flyer might earn 1,000 points and the company only 50 - scarcely double, although any extra is good....

Aquire Points can be converted to Qantas Points once:

  • 20,000 Aquire Points have accumulated in your business' account and
  • 2 travellers have flown on one or more Eligible Flights for business purposes within the applicable Membership Year
Maximum Aquire Points that can be earned on Eligible Flights per member for each Membership Year is 1,000,000.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

I wonder who is in charge of Qantas Aquire On-Line Security?

I just went to Join (I pre-registered when it was first advertised). I put my ABN in and started adding data. As I clicked next, I noticed I had missed a field and clicked the arrow to go back a step. While my ABN was still showing at the top of the page, it has brought up someone else's Company Name, the name of the Account Manager, her Qantas Frequent Flyer Number, her phone number, her email address and her Mother's Maiden Name.

I am scared stiff to register for this now. I don't want my personal details out there for everyone else to see when they register for Aquire.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

That actually seems quite generous - I will have to go through all the current bookings and make sure the ABN is in - I had stopped worrying about it .....

Oh dear - hope it wasn't mine

OK

Well just retrieved my email and notes with password and low and behold cant get in. Tried to use the forgotten password field but again no look was advised that I had supplied incorrect details.

Just hoping that it is due to the being too early. Would hate to think that QF could have coughed this launch up as well LOL

Same thing happened to me. Password incorrect etc.

...and I think they have coughed up something monumentally, as I am getting someone else's personal data left behind when I try to join. I am holding off for now, until I can be sure there is not a massive security hole in their system. see my post # 104

I am still shaking at the thought of how easy it would be for me to now find this person's details through Social Media and Google search and be into their QFF Account. God only knows what sort of damage a smart person could do with this persons ABN, Mothers Maiden Name, Company Name, QFF number etc, and I'm not just thinking about Qantas Points

Have you notified Qantas? - as you have said this is actually a very serious security breach.

OK Now I am very nervous does this warrant a call to the plat 1 line?

Ditto. Just tried to register and the same thing happened.

This is a monumental stuff-up. It reveals personal details, including answers to security questions used to validate identity.

And I thought losing ASA's was a disaster

Not yet, as I was just leaving the office. I've taken a screen dump and snip and will find out who to email it too tomorrow.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

Just received a PM response from Red Roo (very speedy!) who's looking into it.

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

I hope my details aren't compromised...

I'd also ask how is ownership of the ABN number is proven, I'd imagine it would be pretty easy for someone to hijack an ABN which would cause major issues for the actual ABN company entity or owner...

It shouldn't be possible to have my "REGISTERED BUSINESS ENTITY" ABN details on the top right of the screen, but someone else's sensitive information on the left totally un related to my ABN mid way through the application process....

re: Qantas launches "Aquire" business frequent flyer program.

I'm looking into this as a matter of priority.

Knowing my luck, Erica would be on duty!
