I just tried using the multi-city tool for a MEL-SYD and SYD-SIN. Again the flights show in business class for both sectors, but returns an error when you go to the payment page.

This is the exact same issue as inbound flights.

While it’s worth a call to see if there’s some sort of exception, it would appear to have the same restriction. I reckon the call centre will only be able to see connecting flights in business class on another day, or that are impossible to connect with the international flight. (my inbound international arrives at 710am, the QF call centre can only ‘see’ connections at 6.30am and 7am… obviously impossible. Booking separately or via multi city tool, every single QF flight is available)

yes in my experience when i got the error on the multi city tool, the call centre couldn't do anything.

We had the same issue !ate !ast year booking mel-syd-lax late last year, the calm entre eventually managed to process the booking we'd started on!ine but it wasn't easy.
