Qantas Platinum One experiences?

My colleague just had an interesting P1 experience today. He was flying from MEL-CBR and he was stuck in traffic getting to MEL and as such arrived with only 10 minutes to spare. He had anticipated he would miss his flight but the P1 team had organised a QF rep (funnily enough someone from the CL apparently!) to meet him, they'd pre checked him in, and rushed him to his flight. He was very satisfied with QF :D

What a VIP service!! Is your colleague famous? :)

Heavy traffic to MEL airport this morning, missed island breakfast, barely had time for coffee before rushing to the gate to discover my 4C seat was upgraded to 1C.
Had a very nice chorizo omelette.
Good start to a busy day.
Thanks Qantas

Just got invited to my first P1 special event since the launch event, a screening of "Planes". :)

i have changed my profile to cricket, cricket, and cricket......so was recently offered an evening at the ballet.

A chap from P1 did assure me he'd put my name to the top of the list for the Boxing Day test though. :)

Is this where I make a disparaging remark about the similarity between the two?

If I get an invitation to the cricket I'll be giving it away, straight away. Knowing my luck though that will be the only thing I am invited to next year!!!

LOL

Or maybe the Boxing?

So here is one for the P1's

My maths tells me ill be approx 400 QF SC short of P1 this year, I fly Dom,US and T T with QF the rest is CX, is it worth burning points for a couple of SC runs to hit P1?

Given I'm mostly A Dom flyer I'm thinking not, but perhaps I can be convinced otherwise.....

Lil help white carded warriors?

If I were in your situation, I would do the status runs.

The ability to select front row of your cabin when booking is worth the extra 400 SCs even without considering the other subtler benefits.
