Qantas Platinum One experiences?

That's easy. Government funded travel gets SCs but not points and is booked through the government travel agent.
They go by email. They had my (still valid and used) gov email address as my primary contact. Hence classification as a govt employee. On analysis after I queried it earlier this year, they confirmed very little of my SC count came from Govt-booked fares. The rest was private or booked by non-govt work.
Was proof to me how little analysis is done of P1 flyers (at least for the purpose of the P1 program).

Or does your wife have a hangover? o_O

I spoke to my wife today but it was a bit short - I tried to bring up the bottle thing and only was told something cryptic about "having taken off the packaging". I did not want to push for more detail (being an ex-cop means you are always exposed to the claim of interrogation :) )

I doubt it's value of the pax / how much they fly.
As the majority get champagne and are L1 I reckon that's the norm. I know two reasons why someone wouldn't get champers: first, if you have asked at some point to receive something other than alcohol; and second if you are a Govt employee and the value of the main gift (champagne the past few years) exceeds the Finance Department's threshold for acceptable gifts. These could be L2 and L3. But someone will probably need to ask the SST to be sure.

I agree L1 seem to be the norm, but I would love to hear more about this from members - at the moment we have a couple of "L3"s that got headphones. Anyone have an "L2"? And what did they get?

My whatever is living at the post office at the moment, so I can't see my L#. But re event invites, I seem to be on "female singer level". After declining Taylor Swift, I've now been offered Shania Twain.

I've just been exchanging emails with them about a different topic, so I couldn't help but ask. I said it was very low priority! I'll post the response.

The SST is looking into the issue. I sincerely apologise if this is disrupting the active monitoring of anyone's travel or other emergencies that the SST is actually meant to assist with. :p.

I am currently overseas but my gift has arrived and apparently its a rectangular box (red and white type markings on it, anyone else the same?). I am not a Gov. employee but yet I didn't receive the champagne (And they know I am over 18 as well). Will let you all know what L# I get and what gift it is

Am still intrigued. I sometimes suspect that there is an AFF member within the P1 team that just loves to mess with our minds :)

La Mouette, this issue is causing me more grief than mere aircraft connections these past few days :)

In any case, I am sure that there is some logic behind the different gifts - "logic" being a special Qantas thing. But I also suspect it was a blooper that said "L" numbers appeared on letters.

I'm a little disappointed to report (but also relieved) zero issues. Picked up my Comtes from the Post Orrifice this morning with zero issues (L1)

THANK YOU FOR DITCHING SENDLE!!!!!!!

Has anyone received a card personally signed by Mr Joyce - that looked like he actually signed it?
