Qantas Platinum One experiences?

I got the email. Fine print says available to 1s in NZ. But link returns "not found" error message. Is there another link to use? Searching both NZ and Australian stores failed to bring up the book.

Edited to add - it looks like my email was sent hours later than some others got theirs, so maybe they are already out of stock? :(
Although I ordered a copy earlier today I just checked the link again and it was still available. Have you tried to just search for the book on the store site. Once you find it and add it to the cart and once logged the price changes from $49.00 or 8520 points to free and the 1200 points kicks in at a the postage stage. I will PM you the link I used.

A P1 friend also paid 1,200 points for shipping. Must be a glitch.
My confirmation email clearly shows no shipping costs:

I got charged the delivery fee too. I mean given that it's a free book and I haven't really done any travel this year I wasn't too fussed in parting with 1,200 points. Looking forward to receiving the book!

I put a call in to the rewards store as I needed to correct the delivery address (my auto-fill error). Mentioned the delivery fee of 1200 points seemed odd for a gift, but wasn't too fussed. Less than a day later and the points have been reimbursed.

Looking forward to seeing the book. And personally don't mind if this doubles-up as our Christmas gift.

Hi folks - I like the look of the book, and managed to find it on the Rewards Store and order as a lowly WP. Had to stump up the points for it, of course - 8,094 of them, with my Points Club discount - though delivery was free (Sydney metro). Could be a distance / metro thing that determines this, rather than P1/status?

Cheers,
Matt.

I called to enquire about the delivery fee. The phone agent wasn't sure and would contact me with an answer.
I've now been informed that the delivery fee has been refunded. It's now showing +1200 on my account.
Wasn't expecting it, but a nice gesture nonetheless.

Gave this a go too. First time was on hold for 25 minutes before being disconnected. Second time - success. Just checked and the points have already been refunded. Thanks and looking forward to the tome QF :)

Grateful for this thread as I didn't receive any e.mail however I hunted it down on the rewards store, logged in and "purchased". Totally free, no delivery charge.

Hmm. I thought I replied again last night. Thanks Matt. The Australian store doesn't accept NZ addresses but funnily enough it was happy to offer me free postage.

I contacted VIP team last night about the issue, and today I got a call to say the bug with the NZ store had been fixed. I now have the book on order. Yay.

I just noticed my 1,200 pt delivery charge has been refunded too - I didn't contact QF about it, so I assume they are proactively refunding these charges in all cases.

Great ... I was going to offer a forwarding service to you. ;)

In no small measure as recognition of the Elite assistance you have provided me in the past.

Had a great experience with a call to the VIP team today. When answered, the operator (forgot her name) was excellent. Looks like the system recognised my mobile (I think that was only previously done for CLs) and it started with, "Hello __ from the VIP service team, am I speaking with Kangol?"
Due to a flight cancellation, I had to either accept or change it and she was proactive in many regards, ie. "I've looked and the earliest flight on __ day is __" as well as, "I see the system has automatically changed your seat, would you like __ (seat further forward) instead?"

Don't want to give this up :(
