Qantas Platinum One experiences?

I posted this in the Qantas Wine thread but I wanted to ask whether there was any information on the P1 $100 Qantas Wine voucher that's listed on the website?

1 phone 3 transfers 50 minutes and no outcome. Seems like no one knows anything about it. I don't mind it if it was wrong but please remove it from your website and have it removed from the P1 welcome email.

Sadly the $100 bit is the value of wine club membership - it doesn’t actually get you any wine. PC+ does get you a couple of $50 vouchers - probably the best bit of PC+ actually….

That's a bit strange because the wording explicitly states the following:

Qantas Wine is rewarding you with a $100 voucher for you to use on any your next wine purchase

Which is really my only issue with it. If it's suppose to be the Premium membership then so be it but their website is clear as mud

Oh I didn’t read that far - maybe it will appear in the my account section in a couple of weeks…..

I am hoping that someone can advise when the 'quarterly briefings' are provided to P1 members?
Ive been at this level since Oct last year and to date, I have not received anything resembling this.
I contacted the FF centre who had little interest or knowledge and VIP team also have no feedback relating to this benefit. How do I get this? Id be grateful through this community if anyone can shed some light on this benefit??

The 'quarterly briefing' is slightly better than spam and QF seems too have been playing with the format and content for a while. Not sure about other P1s I only read it to see what the free competition prize is, and always enter. For a while I thought it was just a gimmick and not real until one of the AFF members posted they had won the competition.

I had a call inviting us to a corporate function with some QF dignitaries in Bangkok next week.
While I declined, I did appreciate the thought.
Interesting. Do you reside in Thailand?

this may be one of the very rare instances of QF reaching out to internationally based high value customers (which I suspect you may well be).

Yes, full time since my FIFO days were untimely terminated.

Hardly high value these days (if I ever was), having not flown QF since March 2020.
Clinging to P1 till November with, hopefully then, a soft landing.

The the QF systems have finally caught up and I am no longer a member of the club. It was good while it lasted (10 years) and I knew there would come a time when travel would slow down and my status would drop. The change in status took 4 days to flow through and during that time I noticed that QF had added D and I inventory for flights to from HKG and ICN and I was able to get in a last minute request to get some seats released. I had also made changes to an existing JL booking that is yet to be ticketed so today I called up QF. The time to get through was a bit longer than the VIP line and ended up at the South African CC and the agent could not get through to the ticketing team so am now waiting on a call back which I suspect may not happen, IME the VIP Teams always called back if they said they would.

Over the years there has been changes, ups and downs and at times I have had praise for and criticised the program, having been P1 would I chase the status - 'No' will I miss some of the benefits - 'Yes'. It was good while it lasted but all good things come to an end. I have already changed my status level on AFF :p

Edit: The SA CC did call back after about 60 minutes and informed me the JL flight was now ticketed and while I was on the call the e-ticket arrived. The irony is the agent on the 'Premium Line' based in South Africa was fixing something the agent from the 'The VIP Team' based in Hobart told me would be fixed in 10-15 minutes, a day or two back. Before any one starts I am well aware of the QF re-ticketing process and how long it can take.

This was a superb promo. Never had Accor status in my life until I signed up via this. Platinum for (at least) two years with the benefits: breakky, exec lounge, suite upgrades (both via guaranteed certificates and comp... even in flagship hotels such as the Sofitel Darling Harbour and Melbourne). The Hilton Diamond promo offered through Virgin Platinum was also a doozy. Been a HH Diamond for close to three years now and similar to Accor, made a complete switch to them for a good year pre/post covid but I think Hilton in Aus (a bit like the US) have gone backwards a bit in value.

With these promos I completely ditched IHG which were my staples (IC Syd/Mel) given IHG Platinum's woeful offerings.

It's a smart move for airlines/hotels to do this, particularly for the WP/P1s who obviously need hotels a fair bit as part of their travels. I'd like to see a permanent link between re-qualify for P1 (or even WP) and maintaining the hotel status... but I think that might be a stretch too far.
Hot tip for any P1s who may be half way or almost close enough but won't re-qualify for Accor WP under this benefit now that COVID rollovers have ended. They have released this promo through Accor plus that will give you 20 nights towards requalifying for 4,000 Accor points. Works out to be ~AUD130 which is roughly half the usual cost and you get the 20 re-qualifying nights (which will tip me over for WP for another year). Worth it to keep WP I think. Expires end of August 2023.

This is very typical of (IME) CPT CC. There might be a very small thing to do or a very small process to be followed - which HBA/AKL CC can do within 15 mins, but CPT/NAN takes well over 2 day.

I have documented my recent experience working with CPT QBR staff in the WCMO thread. Link below ;
