Qantas Platinum One experiences?

I'm a little curious as to why others are having to call the SST so often. I've managed nearly two years and 150 odd QF flights and only called them once, about a tight connection, not that it did any good.

Therefore a pax with F paid fares will be more valuable than a J pax, who in turn is more valuable than an (F/J)ASA purchaser, or Y+ and then full economy and finally discount economy - however frequency should also play a small part in the calculations). To gain P1, one generally needs a combination of multiple flights at higher cabin levels AND frequency.

.

Then again, for the same number of SCs, someone achieving high status flying discount economy has made a greater number of decisions to fly Qantas than those flying J or F. There are many ways to look at this.

I didn't call, I sent an email.

I did mention it to someone on 13 12 11, but they dismissed me pretty quickly, and I knew it wasn't a fault on my end!

Ok, well that is just interesting:

That appeared on my QFF activity page.
Surely as far as SC goes it was worth 400-500? ;)

In all seriousness, it is interesting in terms of its activity and how it links up to the various FF systems. Oh how id love a day with a veteran Qantas data analyst!

Yesterday arrived back at Syd int with about a 75 minute connection to a domestic, the bags were checked in at the transfer counter after customs and we transferred to domestic, 3 of the 4 bags made the flight and when we arrived at destination there was a text on the mobile advising that the bag did not make the flight and for contact to be made with baggage services and they sent it on to the airport hotel as there was another sector next morning at 0550.

Cant recall getting this text when "just a WP"

Well done

My QFF year ended yesterday and I just crept over the line for another year of WP1. The qualifying flight was taken last Thursday. I just realised that I haven't been sent a replacement card yet, and my current card expired yesterday.

This leads me to believe that there will be no comping of WP1. If I had made only 3500 SCs this year my 3 year average would have been around 4000 SCs.

Presently P1, due to expire towards the end of the year, will definitely soft land to WP but have some trips planned after renewal that will get me to P1 again, and the benefit is I will get the extra 12 months so nearly 2 years out of it, due to having to soft land next renewal.

My Flight delayed on datę Ending 28 Feb. was to take me over the threshold. Flew next day 1 March and it was too late missed out now proud WP. Sitting in a tight squeeze A330-200 on my way to Melbourne from Perth. ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1396327841.976710.jpg

Even business tight as but I think next to me is a WP shadow never had it happen before on these sectors. Oh and the 717 down from Karratha 30%

That's pretty tough, obviously no comp P1, also looks like I will hit LTG this year ( and probably settle for that for ever more).

You just need to ring up and ask for original routing credit. And when you get it you owe me big time :)

Oops! - well you can scratch Sydney off that list for a little while!

I've now taken up to 8 flights since P1 that have a class above economy, and have just had another upgrade this morning at the gate (now 50%). Very thankful for the upgrade, flight didn't even seem full, though there was a guide dog onboard and I've previously seen them in the front row of economy so perhaps this was why I was bumped up.

Also had a chat to the FO and Captain about my simulator experience later today. Looking forward to it!

Jeez you have done well!, I am 0 for 10 when in whY, and most of those on high end flexi fares. Yesterdays MEL/PER whY was chockers with a half empty J, still no dice.
Well looked after on board though, i say half your luck Samh004!
