Qantas Platinum One experiences?

Scored two Lady Gaga ArtPop Sydney concert tickets with backstage pass and dinner/drinks before :p

and for once I am not travelling - which is usually the case with invites! YAY!

Thanks QF - makes the 100s of dom Y flights (over the past few years) a bit more tolerable!

I got the offer but I will be I will be in the air at the time so no go..

Not having being invited to anything, I can only assume the invitations go to people "located" in the cities where the events are held... which is a bit of a pity, given that P1s do tend to travel a tad.

That's pretty cool.

Here is an interesting one and would appreciate guide from the AFF moral compass:

Flying whY from SIN to SYD, booked in a nice comfy window seat - non exit or bulkhead row, about 5 rows from the front of whY. P1 Puts in a nice shadow for me. A few hours ago that seat is all good. Get to the airport and stick the luggage in and hey presto 50G or some nonsense.

The check in agent can't tell me anything so I head to the lounge, the answer: tough luck chump, full flight.

I have no issue whatsoever in losing my shadow, full flight, I dig it, but I totally object to losing my checked in seat.

The attendant says well we can put you in a window if you want but we will have to inconvenience another pax, which is exactly what they did to me.

So I ask: WWAAFFD (what would an Australian frequent flyer do?)

As a P1 I would have thought that it was more relevant to inconvenience another passenger assuming said passenger was non status.

Looking at it Are you happy with the new seat and how much different is it from your original seat?
Have the people been moved due to being a couple and having ben seated separately previously?

If they have moved you just for the sake of it then I would be asking to be moved, however if it is a genuine reason such as seating people together I would suck it up and suffer.

Perhaps you are going to get an op up at the gate :)

Sadly it seems some staff have no idea of the value of P1 Customers.

Happy flying and let us know what happens.

Well I didn't ask for my seat back but I did get a window. I'm not sure that 2 wrongs make a right.

Thanks to expertflyer the lounge dragon couldn't pull a shifty on me.

Qantas at their best are the best in the world by a mile, they just need to be consistent about it.

Also a question for P1s the lounge tonight is chockers and couldn't get a seat, but there was a whole series of seats empty and reserved, are they only for CLs?

That is pretty poor. I would call up the P1 line and seek an explanation as a minimum. (I rarely have reason to bother them but this would be one.)
