Qantas Points Club Discussion

I've just qualified for points club.

I'm flying qf but Emirates plane at 2am. I don't think there is a lounge open at that time, right? Also don't think we can use these invites for Dubai lounge, is that correct?

Correct on all fronts.

If you had Points Club Plus, the complimentary Qantas Club membership would have gotten you into the Emirates Business Lounge. But a complimentary invite can only be used at Qantas operated lounges.

The rest is mainly from uber, BP, Binge, QF travel insurance, and others. I started the year with Points Club and associated vouchers.
Finished up with a touch over 383k QFF for the year! Interesting challenge to replicate in the coming 12 months!

My membership year reset this month, and I noticed that my Points Club membership did not renew. This is despite earning over the 150k points in the previous year with the date previously showing "Enjoy benefits until 31 July 2024".

I don't recall this happening in previous years, so was wondering if anyone else's account is in this state? I can see Port Power seems to have had a similar issue earlier this year which took several calls and follow ups to resolve.

SYD+1 and I just received emails confirming PC for another year.

Although my dashboard was telling me I’d requalified for several months.

No sign of the benefits yet.

Don't have an email. Does it say on your virtual card that you have Points Club? Mine has dropped from there and the website indicates I need to attain it (rather then retain).

No issues with Green Tier and Status though.

I got mine about 90 mins ago from earning PC+ last week, should be on the way in a couple days I'm guessing?

Yep, pretty sure it was showing Jul 2024 PC exp from months ago.

I assume you’re account was showing more than 150k PC points (seperate to total points earned for the year)?

Fairly sure mine was as well, then the Points Club dropped when the year reset.

Yes. I do thankfully have a screenshot of this. The Points Club screen was showing x on ground + 20k in air = value over 150,000 points. The amounts add up if I calculate manually. The slider was showing my progress to Points Club Plus (350k).

I'll wait a couple of days before braving the call centre to explain.

I can 2 new QP Lounge Invitations have appeared online. No indication yet where the hotel/wine vouchers are (my PC dashboard reverted back to the old style some months ago…).

My membership year reset this month, and I noticed that my Points Club membership did not renew.
I've now contacted the call centre to try and get this resolved.
  • The lady had a look at my account and told me that she could see I attained Points Club on specific year. She could see that I retained Points Club for every year following that.
  • However, unfortunately the system is showing that I didn't earn enough Status Credits (sic) to retain Points Club for 2023-2024.
  • She then told me she was unable to manually check my "Status Credits" earnt in 2022-2023 and that I'd have to email in any evidence. I expressed my disappointment in their system and their support process for this issue.
  • I emailed the screenshots, but within 20 mins she called me back, told me she was able to find over 150,000 "Status Credits" from 2022-2023 and that she'd be escalating it to another team.
I'm now waiting for a further call back.

150,000 Status Credits? Did you live in the air the entire year? ;)

Anyone know how long I should allow the PC+ status credits to rollover? I just got my changed QFF status this morning so figure it's on the way, but just curious as to how long it normally takes.

It seems that access to the HBA call centre in order to use all of those points you've amassed is the main thing missing here!
