Qantas Points Club Discussion

lly listened to what I was saying and said he would have to send the information to “the back room” (yes, really) and so

Whilst it sounds like you have had issues, expecting a resolution within 1 day sounds unreasonable to me. A lot of companies these days take up to ~30 days to resolve an issue, so phoning every day makes you sound difficult.

I was not expecting a resolution in one day. However, I was expecting to be called back as advised (I won't say "promised").

I finally received an email today, three months and two weeks after my initial lodgement. I don’t think it would have happened without the recent two follow up calls, though. PC+ has been manually renewed, the 100 SC rollover will occur and I will received the wine and hotel vouchers in due course. No mention of applying SCs for the classic reward flights I have flown, so I replied asking for that. Unfortunately the wine vouchers will be received too late to take advantage of the current wine sale.

I can better that with a 1 year + 3 emails and 2 calls, but hey maybe when they fix yours it will fix mine? ;) I live in hope. My latest email (because at least with an email I get some sort of acknowledgement/evidence it happened) they just read the word "wine voucher" in the middle of a heap of other context including hotel vouchers etc and sent it to QF wine.

Given all of this, my next step is just to send the next inane reply to Olivia's office CC those other useful exec contacts that are findable because I've done as much as I can and I can't be coughd anymore

I think you need to chase up with some more telephone calls.

Is there a risk that this thread will descend into a monthly checklist of who has and has not yet received their status credit roll-overs? Would it be fair to say that it normally takes a week or two, and if it doesn't happen automatically then the correct course of action is to call the FF hotline?

I had some spare time this afternoon, so rang QF. The customer service officer checked and said on his screen the Status Credits were applied on 1.7.23 as would be expected. He said he would email the back office team to see why it wasn’t showing in my app or online, and about 2 hours later it was there.

That sounds promising - thanks for the update, guess I'll be enjoying the hold music later in the week :)

Wow I checked mine again and the 100SC rollover has just come in "Activity took place on 01-Jul-2023" posted 19th.

You may have fixed the problem for everyone yay.

I'm curious for some thoughts - I've been PC since it began, but I have a couple days left in my membership year, and if I add points currently sitting in Woolies for Xmas to my account now, it'll put me at exactly 350k. Didn't think I'd reach it, and retaining PC+ would be difficult, so just curious as to those with PC+ would think its worth having it for a year? I don't have a massive single points earner anymore, just constantly lots of smaller amounts from a bunch of ways, but whether it might be worth taking the plunge now and potentially missing out on the 2.5k bonus points for not hitting 250k next year (as I normally start the year with a solid chunk which I won't have next membership year). Any thoughts very welcome, thanks crew :)

Edit: Should also add - am currently Gold, but will probably drop to Silver in a few days with status support ending. Will have lounge access until the end of Jan due to carried over QC membership, so I'm assuming I wouldn't get the lounge access?

It all depends on your personal circumstances. I value PC+ for the ability to get 13.5 x points on Qantas Hotels bookings (when booked during triple points) and the $100 voucher for hotels. I do not chase status and do not fly domestic Y so the SC carry over and lounge access don't matter to me, but they might to someone else. I do not drink, but I came to an arrangement with another member to use my wine voucher to get him some wine that had points attached - he got the wine and I got the 6,000 points.
