Qantas Points Club Discussion

I've received 100 SCs at the start of my new membership year.

The wiping of my previous year's tally and the addition of these credits are not showing up in the Points Activity page yet.

I note that my Points Club Plus tally is already climbing, looks like they've included points posted since 15 March. Makes me feel a little better as I didn't get a status extension.

I'm in the same boat (31 March rollover). I had qualified already, but the 100SCs are welcome towards retaining this year. My PC tally also includes points from 15 March...

I just got the welcome email from QF, apparently I have 'Points Club Plus'. I'll admit I haven't read anything, or even the nine pages of this thread - wonder if anyone's willing to share the 'need to know' parts - from the perspective of a WP does this points club do anything for me? Cheers.

You can have up too 100 status credits moved into your next anniversary year. This is good. It is assumed that will be any extra in excess of requalification requirements And you get Qantas Club membership! Non transferable and void if you are WP. Higher percentage off the Qantas store.

And you earn SCs on classic flight rewards (at a significantly lower earn rate than revenue bookings, but it's much better than zero)

Something I didn't know up until now. From today's email:

"If you had an existing Qantas Club membership, we’ve put your current membership on hold. It will automatically resume if you don’t retain Points Club Plus."

Not that I was a QC member previously but it's good to know for those paid members out there that their membership is effectively extended for 'free' by qualifying for PC+

Not a huge benefit if you're already WP, since your current travel lifestyle would already be giving you many of the benefits of PC+. That said, it's an added perk that you will earn SCs on award bookings and the 100 SC rollover may help towards maintaining your status.

My SC balance has just jumped by about 500 SC, with all award flights taken since 06SEP19 having now accrued Points Club SC.

Amazing they can run this script in the space of several minutes, but can't credit a JQ Business Max fare within 14 days of flying...

Maybe all this downtime will give QF an opportunity to look at their IT!!
Don’t get me started on the frustrations I’ve being recently being experiencing on dealing with the QFF service centre via their new missing points form.
For JQ flights, they now claim resolution is now 14 business days ( previously stipulated was 28 business days) and when you have to chase it up due to not hearing a response- that’s right’s you need to submit yet another via another form. :(

Im convinced the outsourced BPO who is paid by Qantas to answer correspondence by customers, intends to make the process the most coughbersome experience as possible , so people give up chasing up missing points.
However, I don’t, and I just keep replying back asking for follow up, but that itself requires setting reminders at my end.

They probably get reimbursed based on claims resolved (read forms submitted).

One issue I had a couple of years ago ended up with no less than 6 different reference numbers.

I got the email today from Qantas about hitting points club plus. As a Gold holder I'm struggling to see the benefits to be honest.

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

That's also a benefit of Points Club (non plus). The only real benefit is the 100SC rollover and QC membership for non frequent flyers.

Getting 10% v 5% discount on the rewards store and triple points v double points on Travel insurance and even 50% v 25% bonus QFF points on Hotel bookings has me absolutely licking my chops.

I really cannot believe how they they have allowed these overly generous perks through - these will save me thousands over the next 12 months..............

Did any Plus members receive the Qantas mag today by post? Trying to figure out if it’s the WP or Plus that triggered this surprise delivery. Thanks.

Received in your physical letter box? No. On a couple of occasions I have received an email newsletter being WP. Nothing yet being Points Plus. But there is less airmail space these days, so mail takes longer! 🙁

Yes, printed mag. I’m WP and Plus and was wondering which of these triggered it. Anyway found another forum discussing this but thanks for letting me know.
