Qantas Points Club Discussion

For three flights so far in Feb, standard PC SC came through during flight, and DSC the next day (possibly at 0 UTC). This was a Saturday / Sunday so likely automated as opposed to manual intervention

Having some trouble getting ORC for some award flights - a week after submitting the ticket, the agent replied with "U and X class are not eligible for points and status credits".

Suggest in any email requests for ORC where points club is involved to include a reference to the website / PC eligibility.
Hi all. Just had a similar experience.

I'm a PC member and redeemed points for a SYD to JFK Y flight (all on QF 3 and 4, so no other airlines involved).

Received 52 SC for the inbound flight (JFK to SYD) but nothing for the outbound flight (SYD to JFK).

Upon enquiry, I was told that X class was not eligible for SC i.e. I wasn't even entitled to the 52 SC in the first place !

I was referred to https://www.qantas.com/au/en/freque...rning-tables/earn-category-tables.html#qantas.

I was then told that since X does not appear, no SC are eligible at all !

Does anybody know if I should be entitled to SC on the outbound flight ?

You've just got the bot or the new guy responding. If you are a PC/PC+ member, then you are absolutely entitled to the SCs. Refer them to this page and section on the Qantas website: https://www.qantas.com/au/en/freque...les/classic-flight-rewards.html#other-flights

Adding: 52 SCs seems wrong for travel in one direction. QF3/4 would be 30SCs each way in X if treated as a single flight; did you get the 52SCs credited as a single segment, or that was across 2 segments - e.g. SYD-AKL + AKL-JFK?

Cheers,
Matt.

Yes you should, you should direct them to this page:

So frustrating to receive imcorrect information from agents who should know the exception for PC members.

So much of this it seems, and worse, affecting lower tiers of customer which imo is a double whammy.

If only QF could address this better.

It’s actually better to just email in the claim and not bother calling - unless for some reason the work experience guy gets the email. But in my experience, email is more reliable than online claim form and phone.

Edit: although I would emphasise the PC component of the claim in the email.

Agree. I guess my point was more general. Many threads have anecdotes of poor or outright incorrect information given by company representatives- not deliberately I am sure - but it is such a poor situation for customers and QF.

Are they the only ones? No, but this forum is about QF and things have definitely gotten worse.

It's this kind of thibg, combined with poor online tools and tgen agents either not empowered or unable to.perform seemingly simple tasks easily that lead to so much brand issues.

Anyway not something we can solve here. I'm sure QF is well aware too.

Yes, I don’t disagree and why I believe that emailing in a claim is more likely to land with someone who knows what they’re doing.

Although, I’ve actually had good service from time to time calling in missing points/SCs - usually when the online form BOT said “no” but that could be the WP factor?

SYD to East Coast says 52 status credits for a Qantas marketed reward. It doesn't refer to segments. At least that's how I interpret it for the 52 to make sense.
Ahh - now I see... I was looking at the 'Other Flights' table, which showed 30SCs for ultra long haul. Cheers

Thanks all !

What is the appropriate QF email address to direct this to ?

Finally getting around to requesting my missing 100 rollover SC (it's only been 5 months since my new membership year started ). Will be interesting to see how long it takes to resolve?

How long should it take for Top Up Points purchase to be credited to Points Club? I purchased TUP last October and notwithstanding 3 complaints they have not been added to my Points Club points total.

Not sure if anyone knows, but if I use two different QBR accounts to transfer points into my account, can I have 2 instances of 20k count or is it just 1 lot of 20k from QBR and that's it.

I believe that only a max of 20,000 points received will count.

Perhaps ill transfer 10000 and 10001 points from both accounts and see what shows up on my pcp once it rollover later.
