Qantas Points Club Discussion

I spoke to Customer Services today. Said the vouchers for the Wine and Hotel appear 21 days after your membership year restarts. Will see on 22nd Feb now!

Mine now landed yesterday - so was about a week. Annoyingly was after the triple points QF wine promo was over

Hi all, I qualified for Points Club on 3 Jan 2024. It's been more than 21 days, and I have yet to receive my hotels and wine vouchers or the lounge passes. Have tried emailing them but the rep is hopeless and keeps saying the hotel voucher that was issued in Feb 2023 was the reward for qualifying this year... Anyone know how best to chase this up?

Qualified or qualified? Is anything status wise showing in the system?

May be better to call, I've had average success via email on these more nuanced questions

Points Club status is showing in the system. The vouchers and welcome email just enver got through. I'll try calling if my current email exchange with them continues to be a dead end.

Still waiting the $100 hotel voucher after qualified as Point Club+. Anyone knows how long to takes to arrive?
Pretty sure I was points club last year and qualified for PC+. The 100 voucher didn't land until my new membership year started

ahh I thought it is 1 voucher per year?
Looking at the PC+ benefits list it stated as arrive within 21 days after obtaining PC+ status

Yes, because I'd already had the PC voucher, the PC+ voucher didn't come until the anniversary. Or at least that's how I remember/understand it, I could very much be wrong

Hi all,

Just checking re eligibility for the Milestone Bonus reward,

According to Help and Support | Qantas
The points that count towards the Milestone Bonus Reward are the same as the eligible points for unlocking Points Club and Points Club Plus.
Points received via ... Qantas Business Rewards Transfer will not count towards Points Club or Points Club Plus targets.

However, this contradicts the info on the Points Club,
JUST LANDED: MORE WAYS TO ACHIEVE POINTS CLUB
You can now transfer up to 20,000 Qantas Points from any Qantas Business Rewards account into your Qantas Frequent Flyer account and have it count towards achieving Points Club or Points Club Plus.

I presume it is simply that the text on the Milestone Bonus reward page is outdated as this 20k eligible transfer is new, but does anyone who did a QBR transfer at around the 250k threshold know for sure?

Curious since I am about 15k short of 250k and 2 weeks remaining of the membership year, with very few QBR points. Not really keen for another wine topup

Thanks

Hi, new member here. A couple questions, which may have already been answered, but the answers I could see over the years seem to contradict each other:
Qantas Site says that to earn SCs on Classic flight reward flights that they must be "Qantas Marketed". Does this mean I won't earn SCs on classic reward flights with partner airlines that are bought via the Qantas site? I feel like "Qantas Marketed" is different to "Qantas Operated", but I'm not sure.

If the answer to the above is yes, I'm finding it really hard to find QF flight number classic flight rewards internationally, looking at HND/HNE and SCL specifically from a number of Australian cities. I'm using the 'multi-city' booking tool to look, and while there's a lot available with other oneworld airlines, there's basically nothing for Qantas. Is there a way to search via calendar for classic flight rewards on QF operated flights exclusively?

Thanks!

Yes it needs to be a QF flight and of course you will still need to be a PC member at the time of flying. Reward seats on other airlines will rarely (never?) be available with a QF code if using QF points.
There seems a bit of availability SYD to SCL, but a mix of QF or other carriers. Generally I would take what I could get if the dates suit.

Just adding to this, and for the benefit of @2b-or-not-2bne.

I expect your search may not be trying to exclude QF metal, but we all know how hard it is to find availability, and depending on QFF status, often partner flights, coded as the partner, are all that show up, or remain.

QF codeshares are covered in commercial agreements that by their nature would typically exclude reward flights, and as such it is practically impossible to book a QF-coded Classic Reward flight on a partner airline (oneworld, or otherwise). These will almost always be on the carrier's own code, and therefore be ineligible for Classic Reward SCs. You may get lucky from time-to-time on finding a flight that books as QFxx_X, or that SCs happen to appear when they shouldn't have ('fight club' rules would apply if that did happen!)... but officially, you won't get anything.

You'll need to keep up the search for QF operated and coded reward flights, in order to get the SCs for them.

Cheers,
Matt.

I took a CR flight Friday which will earn DSC from the promo last year (on PC+). How long does it take for the Double points to post as when I looked at the T&Cs, they said to allow up to 8 weeks? The problem is my review date is end of February and those points will get me over the line.

Very strong chance within 48 hours of the flight SC posting. However, maybe longer but honestly doubt it.
