But if you’re PC+ you don’t get lounge passes when to reach the PC threshold en route to requalification.
Can sadly confirm this fact. Evidently they think that their wonderful gift of QP membership (which means jack to a WP who is about to cross the finish line of LTG) makes the lounge passes unnecessary, neglecting the fact that these are fully transferable, while the comp QP is not :(

Get to PC+ "organically" with the business credit card spend, and the 100SC rollover to help WP requal and 10% QF wine discount is handy, but I would never otherwise go out my way to gun for it...

PC was never aimed at passengers with high status. You already get benefits that far exceed what PC offers. PC was about offering something small to people who did not fly much, presumably in the hope of encouraging them to fly more and get real status.

Can someone tell me if a complimentary QC membership (awarded with a prior PC+ attainment) is renewable with cash payment?

My Points club plus is about to expire at upcoming membership year.

Im currently not on track to retain points club, nor points club plus before end of the year .

I'm thinking that I would like to regain points club plus next year.. is there any advantage to busting my gut to try and achieve points club before the end of the year? Does it make it any easier to attain/regain points club plus? Or is it just as easy to wait until new year and go straight back up to points club plus?

The only carryover that I'm aware of is the 100 status points for points club plus, but I assume you don't need to retain points club plus to get the carryover (?)

You need to have attained/retained PC+ in your current membership year to be eligible to receive the (up to) 100SC carryover in your new membership year.

Assuming your year ends September 30th, then if you put your efforts into attaining from October and earn PC/PC+ then you won't need to reearn it until 2026.

The effort/cost in getting 100K/200K+ "points on the ground" in two weeks is likely far more than the cost of flying to earn 100SC.

Unless you’ve got some big bills coming up - eg kids’ 4th term school fees. $20,000 of Woolworths gift cards from next Wednesday will yield 200,000 QF points. Just take your 40 gift cards along to the school when the fees are due and spend half an hour processing them individually. The office staff may not appreciate it though 😂

OK thanks for clarifying - so that's the hook they are using. Got it

The advantage of making an effort to retain PC this year is that you will get PC status credits for CFRs flights in your next year. If you don’t use CFRs save your effort until your renewal ticks over and go for PC+
Thanks, I don't think I will use many QF cfrs until at least later next year
