Hi all,

How quickly do the 20% bonus status credits (when booking a QF flight using the card) get credited to your QFF account? I am looking at booking SYD-SIN in late December for a status run (and quick getaway) to make WP status this year, and would need those bonus status credits before my anniversary date of 31 December to qualify for WP...otherwise I will be just short.
Mine have showed up within about 2-3 days of the base SCs crediting… but it doesn’t matter, as they are credited based on the activity date, and so even if it took 2 weeks, you’d still be made WP after they credited, even if it was in the next month

Cheers,
Matt

Awesome, thanks Matt.

True. Only the general lounge passes can be transferred
That's the idea but my experience - just recently and over the past few years - is that it often happens inadvertently!

I just transferred a General lounge pass to my mother for a quick trip to QLD... of course, that was AFTER the Titanium F Lounge pass went across, disguised as a General Lounge pass on the QF website. The drop-down box only says General but then managed to snag the Titanium benefit instead! Lucky that it expires in a few weeks time and I'm not going anywhere for a while...

This has happened to me before. In the past, I've always been able to retrieve the mis-transferred Titanium benefits by calling QF and getting them to reinstate them. Have never actually used them, which is the bigger irony!

So be careful when transferring your lounge passes... QF IT remains a strange beast!

A notice of variation to the QF Premier Ti credit card terms was e-mailed this morning, with various items of minimal importance, but one which I can see will be a negative for myself, and no doubt other cardholders, which impacts on the Discounted Fares Benefit:

Full detail of variations, here: https://www.qantasmoney.com/assets/...ntas_Premier_Titanium_Benefit_Terms_Sep23.pdf
They come into effect from 09 Nov 2023.

Cheers.
Matt.
Hi Matt (or anybody else with expirence),

The link is dead (or is for me) so I can't check... But wanting to confirm if this means that you can't have a stopover, or there can't be a transit (less than 24h)?

Limiting the 10% discount to itineraries that only include Point A - Point B flights is pretty poor. I'd accept (kind of) that multi city isn't permitted but I hope transfers are.

Does anybody know if they are flexible on the income? I'm not quite at the 200k but not too far away...

Just a note on the Titanium 1st class complimentary lounge invitations.

Was trying to link one since last Friday (8th) to my flight to Singapore on the 16th Dec (this Sat) and have been constantly getting a "Unable to retrieve information. Please try again later." error message.

Finally rang FF support to get help and they told me that, due to capacity constraints, on Sat QANTAS decided they would not accepting any invitations to International lounges in Sydney - inc the 1st class lounge till the end of December 2023.

That I am fly business anyway and so this really just meant I was moving from the bus lounge to the 1st lounge was irrelevant - no passes being accepted.

Just seems silly, hard to imagine the 1st class lung is

Something to keep in mind when considering if the "benefits" of the titanium card are worth it.

Hi - Sorry for the delay in coming back to you here; I must have missed your earlier reply.

Yes - it looks like that variation link from my e-mail is now dead, but the terms are in since included in the main benefits document anyway - try this link, and section 4, with 4.8 in particular covers this element: https://www.qantasmoney.com/assets/legals/qmoney/documents/Premier_Titanium_Benefit_Terms.pdf

Can't help on the 200K minimum, but it's often not a hard limit. So, if you're close to that, and happy enough with the [revised] benefits, I'd give it a try; the only cost is your time.

Cheers,
Matt.

That's a bit frustrating! I don't personally have a use for the passes, being QFF Platinum at the same time, but as one of the main selling points of the QF Money Ti card, it's pretty slack to restrict use for such a broad period. There wouldn't be many of these cards out there, I'm sure, so it wouldn't make much of a difference to the capacity at the F lounge on a given day. Qantas Club invites at the J lounge; sure - but not F lounge invites. Hope you can find another time that suits.

Cheers,
Matt.

QANTAS is quite happy taking money - either from customers directly (e.g QANTAS card such as Titanium) or via 3rd party suppliers (such as 3rd party banks) for 'benefits' such as points and invitations.

They are much less interested in redeeming them, relying on small print (capacity limits for lounges / rationing availability of classic rewards for points) for to get out of the obligations.

I am OK, I am in business anyway on this flight and my next flight out of Sydney a 1st class points ticket to Rome so an invitation is irrelevant.

I am just annoyed at myself for honoring the website's request to just keep trying rather than ringing right away (which would have got me in before the bar was lowered). Never occurred to me access to the 1st class lounge would turn out to be restricted as it always seems to have plenty of space when I was there.

Well our assumptions make fools of us all

For those who have the card - how long does it take for the extra 20% SCs to come through? Still no sign now over a week. Any success on Classic Reward PC earn as well?

Within 24-48 hours for mine; never had to chase up for these (unlike double status promos)... and no; you won't get anything extra on classic rewards earn

This has been my experience too (on both accounts). It is a bummer that there is not 20% extra on CRs.

I was in the QF F Lounge in SYD on 10 December (as a QF WP, not on an invitation or a guest). I was there for several hours into the evening and I can say it was pretty full throughout. There may have been a few free couches during a lull in a bank of flights but that was it (disregarding the special area set aside for P1s). Certainly getting a table in the dining area was a bit tough at times. So it may not have been a surprise that QF decided to apply capacity controls, starting with lounge passes.

I was thinking of applying for this card, but I am nowhere near the $200k income requirement (just over half of that), which I think is pretty stiff. My credit score is over 1000 and I can't believe the minimum for the card is a mere $15k when the income requirement is so high. Just that I don't have a lot of good options to switch to for a new QF earning card with decent signup bonus; this was a candidate (not any more).

Transfers are permitted. I just booked SYD-xMEL-AKL-xBNE-SYD with a 10% discount with no issues. Basically anything that is suggested by the regular booking engine is permitted.

Does anyone know what kind of proof of income they require at application? Is it ATO notice of assessment? Or paylsips or bankstatements?

Was that the only document they were asking for?
My Notice of assessment is from a previous job so its not very high income, but since have a new contract and have payslips that show 200k income
In your instance I would submit the payslip then. I didn't keep a record of what they asked for, but I only submitted my ATO Notice of Assessment because my situation is the opposite of yours (notice shows 200k, payslip does not).

The T&Cs for the Qantas suite of cards indicate that points will not be earned on Government or Government-like transactions.
Please note that whether or not a transaction is an Eligible Transaction will be determined based on information provided either by the merchant or the relevant financial institution (including information about the type of business conducted by the merchant). This means that, for example, spend with certain merchants may be characterised as spend with a government related entity or an investment in shares, and therefore not an Eligible Transaction, even if that merchant or transaction is not in fact a government related entity or an investment company.
Does anyone know if there is a location where I can see whether points have been allocated against an individual transaction, so that I can determine whether QF Money views it as a government transaction or not. There appears to be nothing in the App.

To my knowledge (had the card for 18 months), they don't present that way in the system or statements; There's just a tally at the end of the month, and then that is split into the various earn buckets (i.e. domestic, international, QF spend) for your QFF points, when credited to that account, monthly.
