Qantas Red Planet

offered the SME survey, and as soon as I opened it, told not needed. Extra ticket in the lottery, but no points.

Groan, you were actually lucky. I just opened it on my laptop. You have to add on an extension to start the survey, which I did, but then it keeps timing out of me in the middle of the question and it starts waiting for another minute, then back to the question, then timing out again. Just for 700 points. Not impressed and closed it down, deleted the extension then sent them an email. This one was just not worth your time!

The new system wants me to first install a special plugin for Chrome before I can participate. They are out of their Big Data tiny minds if they think for one minute that I will let a survey company install a data gathering plugin inside my browser.

Yep, thats what I just commented on about 15 minutes prior. I did install it but the survey is so flaky it is now uninstalled and survey not finished.

Got the survey. Installed Chrome. After starting the survey they wanted me to install a recorder for my screen & voice and it was at this point that I stopped and bailed ship.

I just tried to do it and like you it kept timing out telling me my connection failed - after 2 tries at the first screen I gave up but when I closed the survey tab I was left with the Red Planet one and was able to click through and get the 700 points - they are showing on my account..... atm anyway

I got a survey email on 22 July and opened it this morning, read it was going to take 20 mins for 200 points (no advance warning on what it was on), clicked on the "start survey" link, signed in (using Chrome) only to find that it says under the "surveys for you" section:
There are no surveys currently, please check back later.

WT:?::oops:

Clicked on the "contact us" link in the email and fired off an email. Will be interesting to see if I get a response.

I am still waiting on a response from Sunday re timeout issues. Guess they timed out on that too!

To their credit, they have responded promptly (just received):

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

For some of our surveys, we are only looking for a small number of people to participate. In this instance, we reached our target number of responses very quickly thanks to a very strong response from our members. Unfortunately, by the time you attempted to do the survey it had reached its goal and was closed.

We understand this can be frustrating and we do try to make as many surveys as possible available to a large number of our members, but that is not always possible. As a result, we encourage members to take part in surveys as soon as possible.

There are more surveys on the way in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for the next opportunity.

So why don't they advise "will close after required number of responses received"? Is that too much to ask...apparently so :o :shock:

Other survey sites usually include these details and if you don't qualify for a survey or the quota is already full you get an explanation message. From the sounds of the latest posts in this thread it seems that Qantas Red Planet have a long way to go with their messages and quality control in order to keep up with other online survey companies.

Just completed the latest Cybersecurity Survey worth 100 QFF points.

Interesting that the survey mentioned that Qantas are considering adding an extra security feature to many of the processes on an Individual's QFF account such as points transfers and points redemptions from The Qantas store.
I certainly marked my survey " strongly In favour" on those questions.

That's a very good idea. Maybe a text with a verification code like some of the banks use? Obviously means security on mobile number change as well.

Well finally another survey. Apart from the Portal Launch survey this is the first survey since March.
This one is on Business Innovations & worth 150 points. A good 15 minute survey from DBMConsultants.
Interestingly enough I've just completed another survey from then , recruited over the phone, on Business Financial Services. A much longer survey but covering similar topics just expanded.
The prize was a minted cuckoo wasp dollar coin. 30,000 minted so probably better than 150 points.

I got the Business innovations one yesterday as well - been a while since the last one

Nothing for me since the new regime started, so must not be in the right demographic for any of their current research.
