Qantas Salt & Pepper Squid thread

Haha... I just noticed this thread after I devoured 2 serves of this for breakfast 2 days ago, special request before 11am and graciously fulfilled. 😋

Too greasy for me, but I have been able to procure the S&P Squid & the Pav at breakfast when I’ve taken guests in.

I read plenty of posts on AFF from people moaning about “QF inconsistency”... including on this thread.

While I respect your opinion, and your right to express it, I don’t see too many of you giving credit where it’s due.

Every photo so far in this thread has had exactly the same picnic cutlery.*

LAX is showing a dark, heavily battered common theme - but I guess it's consistent... :p.
 
Still prefer my own most Friday nights when I return home from the pub raffles. Some squid from the local fish retailer, a little flour with some salt and pepper and a small amount of chilli powder all mixed together and the 90 seconds in the deep fry. Looks exactly the same and i'm sure the taste is better. No need to swan around a F club or CL for me

(BTW: Don't take what you read here too seriously - the rest of us don't ;):).)
 
The red sauce from SYD 2013 looks a bit strange (and sans chillies or spring onions...), but LAX Jan '18 looks better than other LAX versions.
 
Hmmmm - maybe we need a scoring system? There are a lot of variables consistent inconsistencies (TM) ;).

Colour/crispiness of coating.
Chillies - Y/N.
Shredded spring onions - Y/N.
Colour/texture of sauce.
Lemon cheek - Y/N.

Now to assign a value/weighting to those...
