Yes and no; I am looking into a MEL-HAM trip in July and another one in Oct. The difference between .br and QF sites are about $200. So the difference is not that great. Speaking of those two trips, any "innovative" routes/ideas/etc?
See my post there:For those not on annual policies - what's everyone doing for travel insurance for these short trips?

I check online TravelnsuranceDirect, Covermore and the Columbus available for paid AFF members and use the best fitting for my needs including trip length.I
I'm currently investigating a newish Australia Post Product for a flat $5 per day with much of Asia and Europe¹ and $10 per day for the USA and much of the rest of the world².
Travel Insurance - Australia Post
¹ China, Italy, Domestic Cruising, New Caledonia, Fiji, New Zealand, France, Phillipines, Germany, Singapore, Greece, Spain, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, United Kingdom, Indonesia, Vanuatu. (http://www.travelinsurancepartners.com.au/tip/pdf/auspost/APO0214_Travel_$5.pdf)
² All (¹) and Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Caribbean, Egypt, Mexico, Peru, South Africa & United States of America. (http://www.travelinsurancepartners.com.au/tip/pdf/auspost/APO0214_Travel_$10.pdf)
. I'm looking forward to seeing Ms Sparkes reaction to the SIN F lounge.
AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
Would be funny if Expedia Brazil became the biggest TA (by volume) in the Qantas network
There is no doubting that Qantas knows about this. I keep expecting it to be shut down, but obviously there are things preventing this happening...
They would not offer it if it was not viable and business is business. realistically the % of people using this site instead of the .au site would be miniscule
Until a rookie Journo loads it to newsdotcomdotau.
The travel team at news.com.au know about it already, as do SMH, however there is no story for them as its not exactly going to help advertising revenue.
I finally jumped on board and picked up BNE-SIN-SGN return x 2 pax for AUD1010. Opted for BNE departure port to save transit time. I'm looking forward to seeing Ms Sparkes reaction to the SIN F lounge. I was wary of the ticketing process but received the e-ticket 7 hours after the initial email confirmation, not bad at all. Now to plan the remainder of journey to the Son Doong cave!
Is there a trick to booking onward connections?
I've already got a MEL-SIN-MEL booked for this weekend actually but looking for MEL-SIN-CAN-SIN-MEL and it is only throwing up result that are the same price as Singapore Airlines etc
I can get $~400 rtn MEL-SIN but if I need to spend an extra $350+ to get to/from CAN I would rather have it all on one PNR.
Actually, silly me - forgot that the card I booked with (CBA Plat) actually has travel insurance! I usually book with my Amex. Thanks hossein.au!
Depending on certain factors the insurance could be well under $100 - surely you'd still be ahead booking through .br?

Have you looked at the Australia Post $5 per day travel insurance?

Checked it out after serfty mentioned it above. Came to $60 for 2 of us for 5 nights...not quite $5/day, still cheap, but the restrictions are huge. The other mob were $60 with a lot more inclusions.
Cheers for the link though. Clever way to market it.
