Plus add another $60 to compensate for the drop in fuel surcharge. The bookable prices coming up are in the high $500s which is about right using this formula: sale price less YQ plus ~10%.

Which is still better than QF AU and by a reasonable margin for the effort required.

The dates I am looking at went up from $900 yesterday to $1300 today on QF AU. Not sure whether to rethink dates or wait and see what happens after 11 July. I was/am planning to travel 5-13. Oct.

5 Oct is school holidays, so not included in the sale.

thanks froggerADL, I was lucky enough to score one ticket for these dates at $379 and was hoping the dates might be included in this sale too even though it's school hols....feeling a bit flat now as I try to work out the best way forward.

seems br. site removed QF sale.......

Wow. Coincedence this was recently mentioned on FT in the EK forum or should of made no difference?

Wow you're right !
The MEL-CGK fare I saw just yesterday for ~$A833 is now ~$A1577 damn yet another enhancement lol

Not as far as I can tell! Flights I looked at yesterday (MEL-SIN-MEL Aug 30-Sep 1) are the same price as they were yesterday - 1,164 Real. Whilst not the super cheap price that was previously, still about $200 cheaper than QF website.

I doubt it! They mentioned much less than here! And it's only a matter of time before it disappears.

Does PER have an international airport? ;)

*runs away really quickly*

Yes but it is obfuscated by the warehouses and distribution centers...

The question of the existence of airport management with respect to international operations is rather more perplexing.

Happy when wandering away from PER

Has anyone got the expedia.br trick to work with destinations other than SIN?

They had MEL-LHR for A$1055 when this thread first became active a few months back. As far as I know it was just LHR and SIN.

It'd be nice for those sorts of prices to come back, or at least be a decent amount cheaper than they currently are. Earlier in the week return flights from BNE-LHR in Feb next year were ~$1800, but now everything is up to ~$2100. I'm hoping it's just because some sort of sales fares have ended :)

MNL also seems to be good value on some days at around $560 or so.

Old man wants to book a trip but come back after 14 June 2014. Expedia can only book 330 days ahead. Any way around this, the next sale will be OK or we're clean out of luck?

That is good value, there are so many QF19/QF20 flights that I've taken around the $1000 mark.
