Perhaps a bit OT for this thread but not sure where best to post.

A little bird tells me that there is an Asian (?) website where you can book cheap Jetstar domestic flights.
At this stage I can't convince the person who told me to divulge exactly where the flight was booked but I will keep prodding.
Anybody at the brains trust got any clues about this or heard any whispers they are willing to share?

If I find out is it safe to post the information here or best kept quiet?

Sometimes expedia.co.jp gives out cheaper domestic prices than the Jetstar website, obviously have to pay in Yen though.

It has already been posted here http://www.australianfrequentflyer....cheaper-jetstar-flights-through-jp-49375.html

and I got their deals many times :D works well when the flights on jetstar are expensive

Just a word of warning (well three words actually: CREDIT CARD FRAUD) to those changing their flights, regarding additional collection (change fees + fare difference) . We had problems with the additional collection initially not going through, then being charged by both Expedia & Qantas. It was eventually refunded to the credit card.

HOWEVER, this week I had a range of small volume (<$100USD) transactions appear on my credit card for online gaming + other online sites. It seems original currency was BRL, which seems somewhere along the way my card number has fallen into the wrong hands. I was alerted this through One-Time-Pin coming through to mobile (twice) for authorising online transactions as part of Visa online security. Just a warning to anyone in this situation to keep an eye on your balances and transactions.

it's well documented in this thread i believe - same family however based in land of the rising sun .jp - keep in mind you cant easily add QFF pts nor avoid $15 credit card fees but typically still 30-50% cheaper.

edit: oh, already replied to... lol

Asia on sale again so we will be able to get the deals when Brazil hit midnight in a couple hours I guess. Unfortunately qantas doesnt seem to do $700 Singapore lately.

Hmm... there is a Qantas sale on right now to Asia (prices don't seem as good as previously) but when I am searching on expedia.com.br it is not even showing me the Qantas flights at all! Maybe they have put a POS restriction on them so the sale fares aren't sold in Brazil.

Give it a couple of hours because of the time difference.

That's the same experience for fares next year. They might have blocked the per-sin tickets on. Br

QF blocked the SIN flights through .br weeks ago I did mention it on here

things come and go. no explanations.

Nizar, no, some other Asian destinations were available as well.

Errr, they weren't weeks ago, about a week ago and today again.

Care to explain why you can't book MEL/SYD-SIN for next year at the moment ?

You would probably have to ask Expedia the question, I booked a Q class to SIN for $570 Tuesday night.

LOL Yes I know that, but just concerning that availability comes and goes I guess..

I am still debating if I should bother ringing and changing a fare I have in a few weeks OR simply just make a new booking.

The change fee is about $300 from memory ?

For $250 extra, could be easier just to make a new booking...

It still prices on Matrix. Wasn't just SIN. I'm pretty sure they did remove the AUS-EU fares, not exactly like people from South America are going there the long way around
