Nothing exciting for SYD-HKG, in fact the complete opposite!
I have QF and Expedia open in separate windows and for 2 x PE tickets in Jan 2014. On QF website it is $3k and on Expedia website it is R10,150 (approx. $4.7k).
Am I missing something? I am fairly sure I am not.
not really getting any "red hot" deals for the dates im chasing (tried quite a few to be fair). the real good deal days are long gone i think...
Think even at $567, its not a bad deal, QF no doubt want to get the sale fare back to over $1000

You know you can get an F return award SYD-BKK-HKG on TG for well under $3k with the BKK-HKG legs on the A380 through US Dividend Miles and Avianca LifeMiles don't you? I cannot understand why anyone would pay for Y+ when they can get F for cheaper!!

Don't think I agree with this. QF site MEL-SIN is $819, BR site can give it to you for about $530, that is a significant saving of 35%! MEL-NRT return is coming up at $1625 on QF site and can be had for $1150 on BR, 30% saving and not small change in nearly $500!
I would have no idea quite honestly. I'm by no means an expert on frequent flying and haven't got to US dividend miles and Avianca miles? If anyone cares to enlighten me via a PM to save going OT here then it would be much appreciated.
The $3k I referred to was for 2 people. Is the 'well under $3k' you are referring to 1 or 2 people?
