Is there a way to bring the price down for JQ fares? Looking at MEL-DPS-MEL and expedia BR won't show JQ flights for me and .JP has a price that is only aout ~$20 less than the JQ website (probably the exchange rate). Any tips?

Thanks markis10, thought that must be the case.Ahhh, another trick. I must not have picked that one up in my speed-reading of this thread. Is that just a case of hitting the 'save for later', or equivalent, button and then coming back later and retrieving the saved quote and paying?
I'm assuming you need to set up an account with them first before you can save any itinerary?

.br is offering me an EK-3K connection (QF codeshare on EK). The EK-metal flight has a baggage allowance but the 3K flight presumably does not as the flight is "Jetstar Asia without bag 683"

Anyone have any idea how a baggage allowance can be added on the 3K flight?

Just wanted to double check that, even though the current sale ends tonight in Aus, they should still be available through .br tomorrow?

Yes That is correct right up until mid night Brazil time

I was looking for flights SYD-BKK departing 17 April and returning 26 April and the best price is ~BRL3,500.

They really know how to slug outside of sale periods.

Easter is one of the busiest times of the year for air travel.

Besides MEL & SYD to SIN at such good fares, have anyone found any good fares for SYD to MNL? I have been checking every now and then but never seem to find anything below $900!

During an earlier sale I was able to get PER-SIN-PER over Easter for about AUD420.

Great when you can plan esrly. Some people don't have that luxury and pay through the nose.

Yep, them is the breaks!

I managed to finagle a few fares for BNE/MNL last year for travel which has already commenced / completed. In the last sale, there were some MNL fares available even during Easter at the modest cost of around $600-$650.

For now I can't find anything to MNL which is near that range. Best I can see is MH return (no BR trick needed) for about $850. That said, I'm looking in May, which coupled with the late Easter period, probably isn't doing any favours.

Finally made use of this (for my parents) - $468 return in May. Decent. Coupled with a few nights at the Shangri-La Sentosa, cheaper to book that via expedia.br rather than their own site. Win.

anatol,
Many thanks. I did tried during sale time but couldn't find anything. I will keep searching though.

Aaargh! I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I can't get rid of that pesky booking fee!

I don't know what happened but that pesky booking fee is now gone! Weird...not that 'm complaining! ;)
