I just tried a few dates in April and May and it seems that the only Qantas flights that shows up was north of 5000BRL (~2500$). It was way cheaper yesterday when I checked... anyone noticed the same?

I didn't know you could still do LHR flights in the Au-LHR-Au direction. Last year I nested an LHR-Au-LHR ticket ($700 AUD) within a MEL-LHR-MEL ticket.

For $700 AUD I could well be tempted to do a quick weekend in PER from LHR. What dates does the sale cover?

A sale did end a day or two ago and that impacts the price

I checked this morning and found some 950BRL fares MEL-SIN-MEL but now they are either not listed (mostly) or only displaying business class fares (I think)

Suggest trying again tomorrow as I have seen this before

current QF singapore fares feature this:

FARE RULE
TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON THE STOCK OF QF OR EK AND
MAY NOT BE SOLD IN BRAZIL/IRAN.

Right.. I can do this as a combo:
QF10 LHR-DXB, connecting to QF8424 (operated by EK) DXB-PER
Coming home...
QF8425 (EK) PER-DXB, QF8009 (EK) DXB-LGW.
380 GBP'ish

Now.... Am I right in thinking I should use my BA FF number (BA Silver, OWS) for QF10 and then switch to my QF (QP) number for the other 3 flights?

Sounds lile the best way to accrue points across programs, as EK won't credit to BA.

Sounds like the right idea.

It's so cheap, why don't you bring SWMBO with you? :)

She's not keen on flying out Thursday night, then back Monday evening in London ;)

My younger sister just welcome to the world my niece so I thought I might do a surprise visit and rock up on the doorstep :)

Think that was mentioned weeks ago on here ?

But the cheap fares were on .br earlier today

Hmz

actually this restriction has not previously been on the SIN fare hence why they have been able to be booked at those prices. It's been added today

"Thanks" :(

So that's the end of the cheap .br AUS-SIN fares then

I knew I should have booked this morning :(

It may not be the end, every time they load a new fare things can change , this current 'sale' fare is on until 06 March

You can search individual airlines.

Yes, I'm doing a search on QF earlier to make sure it's ticketed by them, but was hoping to get EK flight numbers.

I haven't seen the EK flight numbers at this rate either, I presume it's because their fare rules are different than QFs when sold in BR.

I can see the EK flight numbers coming up on QF website, as well as QF flight numbers on the same metal, so was hoping to get EK flight numbers to come up here as well. I thought I'd seen them before but might be mistaken.

Is seat selection free on EK or something? I have my BA number in there so selected the upper deck in whY on the QF A380 (due to BA status), but it then let me select seats on EK DXB-PER / PER-DXB (777) and DXB-LHR (EK A380)?

BTW, any thoughts on the little cabin at the back of the upper deck? Not concerned about how long it takes to get off as I have 3 hours transit in DXB.

Quite a few threads here on that, it's the place to be with side storage for most window seats, only downside is overhead storage is restricted.
