Well if it's SIN you must do, I am finding MEL-SYD-SIN return in W for BRL2300ish. Haven't tried other cities, or many dates.

Thanks - That's pretty good actually, but still double the price of Y and I am mainly after the cheapest flight and points earn with these short SIN trips!

It's still working for PE fares. The Y sale only started today so I'll see if it's still working from the .br site tomorrow.

Fair enough, though it's not that much more, as the cheapest Y I can see is $719 with QF, earning discount miles. Pay an extra 30% for W and get 25% more miles, double SC's and a better cabin. So only a little more cost per point, should you choose.

The y sale has a br sales restriction so no it wont work

Yes, for the fare basis OLXSE1, it says:
SALES RESTRICTIONS FOOTNOTE RULE
TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON/AFTER 11MAR14 AND ON/BEFORE
17MAR14.

FARE RULE
TICKETS MUST BE ISSUED ON THE STOCK OF QF OR EK AND
MAY NOT BE SOLD IN BRAZIL/IRAN.

Looks like the golden goose has stopped laying golden eggs :(
Unless another "developing country" can be found.. Peru or Bolivia perhaps?

Edit: on EF it is showing as one way SYD-SIN base fare BRL 523.72 = AUD 247.11 (Google converter) when ticketed in RIO.
In AUD it is $248.00 when ticketed in SYD and PEN 621.80 (= AUD 245.80) when ticketed in LIM

Edit 2: Purchased in BOG is 455,200 COP (= AUD 247.17)
and in ASU (Paraguay) is 981,900 PYG (= AUD 245.82)

So the base fares are the "same price" as in Oz.
Too bad I don't have any data points from prior to the BR banning.. or what it would have actually cost when purchased in those countries..

Doh!
Expedia doesn't have sites in PE, CO or PY.
It does have a MX one but I just searched and couldn't find any QF fares.
On Skyscanner MX it comes up as the same AUD price (MXN 8579) :(

The last set of QF sale fares to Asia also included the Brazil/Iran sale restrictions and they still turned up on expedia.com.br a few days later. I believe specifically some of the SIN fares were amended overnight so if they are going to return it could take until 12MAR UTC-3 (Sao Paulo time) to show up.

expedia.co.nz has QF fares from SYD to SIN for NZ$619...not as good as .BR but better than Qantas.com
I suppose that's a saving of $100 given how coughpy the AUD/NZD exchange rate is right now...

I booked two tickets BNE > SYD > BKK > SYD > BNE on sunday night ( 9th march ) for $ 485
and just rechecked the same flights on expedia br have gone up to $ 765...

yeah I was checking this morning for BKK in September and it was cheap..now all the cheap QF fares are gone!

I have been checking June and September flights the past week and they were ~$700 and now they have disappeared. The flights available on the cheapest airfares allowed overnight flight BNE-SYD with SYD-BKK the next day which meant I could spend a night at home in SYD.

Expedia New Zealand still has some cheap flights but only same day connections.
