Yes, apart from Exit Rows.

Interesting - well all the seats I chose for the EK flights (and they confirmed on the booking page) have now disappeared....

Quite a few threads here on that, it's the place to be with side storage for most window seats, only downside is overhead storage is restricted.

More concerned about how restrictive the bulkhead is though... I know some people like bulkheads but I tend not to as it often means less leg room as you can't stick them under the seat in front..

Depends on how tall you are and if you get a shadow. Being close to 6 feet tall I had no issues! used the storage as a leg rest thanks to the shadow.

Hm, well I'm only OWS. I'll give 32K a try then. The only other seat taken on the UD is 32A. I'm 6 feet also.. so we shall see!

You should have an EK PNR. If you go on their site and select Manage a Booking you should be able to see what's allocated and change if required.

Even if it's booked on QF codeshares?

Edit: well, seems to bring it up on the EK site using the QF PNR. Shows the EK seats and not the QF ones. Will check in a few hours and see if it sticks this time as I reselected again.

I found that putting the Qantas PNR in (on the Emirates site) is enough. It will come up then with the EK PNR. It is slightly disconcerting that it only mentions EK flight numbers and doesn't show the QF ones. However if you click on "View/Print" under e-ticket status you can see the codeshare numbers there. You can also find the ticket numbers - something that the expedia site doesn't give you, yet is so important for travel when things go wrong.

Obviously on the EK site you can do the seat selections that hopefully will stick.

Yep, had a poke around and found a different EK reference once you 'view the ticket', which as you say does indeed show the ticket number. That being said, I've just checked via QF and the EK seats have stuck now. Maybe Expedia was still issuing the ticket earlier and that's why they disappeared? Although it is odd the QF seat stuck but the 3 EK ones didn't! :)

Loophole seems to have been closed! Checked several dates in May and June - cheapest is now EK at nearly R$2K! Ironically, operated by QF! QF marketed flights don't seem to appear at all. I realise that sale no longer on, but flights were available outside sale periods. Suggests that QF flights to SIN now aren't allowed to be sold in Brazil.

the current 'sale' has been extended to march 10. check after that

I stand corrected on the sale being current, but that doesn't actually change my point!

I had an itinerary saved for a weekend in June (long weekend) from a weeke or two ago, which was A$500. When I checked today, the QF flights no longer exist! Nor did they exist for the half dozen other dates I looked at, which were previously there. There were no QF flights for any date I checked, so I'm willing I bet QF have updated the fare conditions to prohibit sale in Brazil.

You can't purchase it because the fare rules have changed:

Yes I mentioned that the current fares prohibit sale in Brazil at post 1845. That's not to say when the NEXT sale is loaded that they do allow them.

The beginning of the end?

I was looking at airfares for June and September.

I'd say it has been closed and will continue to be blocked for sale in BR

Was good while it lasted and I regret not booking more

Has anyone heard of or used bravofly? It wants to charge $594 AUD for a fare QF are charging $702 ($732 inc CC fee), for MEL-SIN return. Not .br territory but still better than nothing.

Heard of but never used, comes up on skyscanner a lot.

I have heard of it previously and it does come up on Skyscanner. A work colleague did some research and based it could be risky based on the reviews.

A matrix search indicates you can still find flights but expedia is about $100 more expensive and but more $100 cheaper then QF.

More importantly, if they have blocked sale from Iran then it suggests prices were as cheap as from Brazil - I wonder how much it would have been from there?!!

Blocking Iran is probably more to do with OFAC, UN, EU, Australian regulations involving trade sanctions
