Qantas to Close First Class Lounge in Singapore

No one is sure (and BA/QF aren't telling) what the long term will be. QF have said that they are closing their F lounge but that doesn't explain what BA are going to do for their F pax.

Has QF actually said anything? The only thing referring to the closure of the F lounge was an article in AusBT. I haven't seen anything before or after that article.

Travel Daily had a similar story a few days after the AusBT one with a "QF spokesperson" (maybe the same one, apparently they don't like to reveal their names or maybe the airline doesn't let anyone but Olivia Wirth get quoted as PR?) saying the same thing, that the first class lounge would be closed and the new lounge would only be business class. The Australian also had a story where they mentioned QF's lounge renewal program and mentioned Singapore would have a new business class lounge although they didn't specifically call out first class or the lack of same.

I think also the absolute silence of Red Roo in this thread speaks volumes about QFs approach to this issue, they must have been hoping that they could just slide this one under the door and nobody would pick it up, and once they did QF seems to have adopted the strategy that if they don't talk about it it will just go away!

I was reading AUsBT today and found it hilarious that they advocated the CX Skyview as much better than the QF/BA lounge...
It is much better.

Everytime I step into the Qantas Lounge it feels I am in Boganville.
