Bronze member looking to take advantage of this. My next membership year ends 31 July 2022. Will SCs earned before this promotion (1 December) and between 1 March and 31 July count towards anything?

I was going to do some flying in the US June/July 2022 to try to keep gold but am thinking that those SCs won't count towards requalification?

Any help in understanding this would be appreciated!

Not at this stage.

Had your membership year ended 30 June, you could have rolled over some SCs to your next membership year, but Qantas have not extended this beyond 30 June anniversaries yet.

Qantas is offering 1 bonus Status Credit per 5,000 points transferred from credit/charge cards, up to 100 SCs. Will these SCs count towards the 100 needed for the gold fast track? It looks like they will, since there's no mention otherwise in the T&Cs nor on the Fast Track webpage (where it states clearly that SCs earned 'on the ground' will count).

EXCLUSIVE OFFER - Offer expires: 20 Jan 2025

Where did you see this?

Does anyone know if you're enrolled in double status promo and you've made the necessary flight how long does it usually take before you get credit the bonus status?

it depends on the nature of the DSC promotion. Howevr in general DSC usually post a day or two after the flight SC have posted.

noting DSC attached to other methods, such as travel passes, can take a much longer time depending on when they run their batch processing.

The first lot of flights for the first eligible flying dates at the start of a DSC promo may take a bit longer to credit, but after the first batch is processed subsequent flights would post within a day or two afterwords for the DSC promos where you have say a four day window in which to book.

Thanks heaps it did post as mentioned and also once you reach the 100SC mark how long before you get switched over to gold?

When they do the next batch run - generally I think they were still doing them on Fridays. Someone with more current information may correct me.

I met the QF fast track requirement and just received the physical QF Gold card with Oct-23 as the expiry date. The letter mentions that I need 600SC to requalify gold or 1400SC to qualify for Platinum by Oct-23, is that correct? I thought the SCs I earn between now and Oct-22 would be lost?

Correct (well they do still count to lifetime status). Unless you plan to get to 1400 SC by Oct 22 you don’t need to chase status credits till at least November 2022.

Can I ask if you had to do anything specific to get the physical card? I was of the understanding that they weren't sending out physical cards. Thanks.

I completed the QF fast track last year & received the Gold card & e-tag or whatever it's called in the mail.

Recently got to VA WP & am expecting the card in mail anyday now too.

MrsDaver6 recieved a QF SG cold in the mail last week. Her year ended in Dec and maintained gold. I'm WP with my year ending in November and I didn't receive a replacement card.

Levelling up status I think cards are handed out.

I think whether you have used QANTAS Cash or not can have an impact on whether you get a replacement card when retaining status.

I think you could be right I think.

I'm thinking about it.

yeah, getting a new status level usually triggers a new physical card (or using Qantas Cash I guess).

I was just looking at my P1 card yesterday from 2019 and that obviously hadn't had a new one since then so it shows a 2020 expiry date. No biggie because of app and all, but yep. Usually new status level brings issuance of a pack.
