Qantas to fast track airline loyalty program status

Unfortunately that view doesn't provide enough info, the statement has to, "contain the statement month and year, membership number, name and tier status" and the activity view printed as a PDF doesn't have all that info unfortunately.
If you click the drop down box where your point/SC balance is then print to PDF it should print your number and initials. Coupled with photo of the card I'm not sure why they'd reject it. They should want your business too, can't make it too ridiculously onerous.

Good tip, I reckon that will work nicely. I'm going to include my Asiana one as well (I'm Diamond with them) so between the two of them that should be sufficient I reckon.

I sent a request to [email protected] for my activity statement and got it within 2 days

VA are planning to return fire in the battle for status pax in the next few days.
What are they going to offer? Three lounges, infrequent and expensive flights on a skeleton network and even thinner international alliances.

They'll keep the ones they've got if they start to resemble something close to what they used to be.

I haven’t heard anything yet. Suppose they’ll pick and choose who they want based on how many QF flights they’ve taken? I’ve taken very few!

I wonder if they are looking at that? Isn't the idea behind the status match to entice you to change alliance.

I wonder if they also review your current engagement in the Qantas FF program e.g. how much business (points) do you generate through CC spend and QF partners.

You forgot no 'snack', J snack box that replaced the 2 minute noodles. I am sure the offer will be compelling ;)
maybe they will offer lifetime status. Although, to me, lifetime status with VA would refer to VAs lifetime, not mine...

I doubt QF flights come into the equation. When I came back to QF about 7 years ago I asked about the gold challenge and at the time was asked to send in my activity statement. The statement did not include a single QF flight but had about 80+ flights from VA and SQ. I think what they are look for is the frequency and number of flights that you have completed. A work colleague had requested a status challenge but was denied, from memory a reason was not provided or maybe she just told me that. Her travel was quite limited with around 6-10 domestic trips per annum.

I would suggest that however QF are assessing the EOI they may be trying to weed out those who will go on a status run get the 100 SC and have SG status for what could be up to a 2 year period.

Just a guess based on my experience.

the negativity re; Virgin continues, kick'em while there're down, true aussie spirit.

Biggest pack of wingers here. very poor IMO.

oh I'd fly QF to get a 'snack' oh yeah! TBH 2 minute noodles better than most of the useless sugar filled snacks anyway.

3 lounges = false.

skeleton crew, yep pretty rich coming day after QF just sacked 2000 employees.

thin international alliances, yes oh so handy atm, which alliance partner you flown recently?? Virgin will announce these in due course well before any chance of flying OS.

I thought the poms were bad, but true Aussie Red Kangaroo colors coming out of late.
Normal unbiased flyers would think saving an airline & 1000's of jobs & for competition would be beneficial, alas not here in @Aff world.

kick'em while there down, great Aus culture.

I am not just kicking VA while they are down, I have issues with VA prior to their current situation. I have also been a VA WP for the past 6-7 years. They are just an alternate option.

ok, obviously personal for you then.
can't be too bad if your still WP though for that long.

you obviously fly heaps so can compare to many airlines.

cheers

Oh I very much want VA to succeed, nobody wants a QF monopoly. We saw that when Ansett collapsed and it wasn't fun for anybody.

I just don't want to fly with VA.

And the more they cheapen their product, the less chance others will either.

How are they down really...? They are now a subsidiary of a large foreign, American private equity war machine that will by hell or high water extract some form of return from them - which is a far better position than where they have been since the ‘new world carrier’ era began.

It was that or complete collapse so I think they have done quite well circumstances considered.

Didn’t see any whinging at all, just realism. I hope some take up the VA offer, would like to see VA, and competition, in the air.

CX last time, QR next time. CX stopped flying ex BNE, and QR started. I was a VA WP years ago when they flew to AUH and I could get connections from there, switched to QFF/OW after both those things stopped. VA were ok for some when they had alliance partners, particularly SQ worked for me back in the day, but what do they have to offer now?

cheers skip

No details were provided. But the QF pitch to VA status pax was referred to as "cheeky" and that VA would respond "in a few days".

To be clear, I'm not trying to derail the thread. My aim is just to alert VA status pax thinking of jumping ship that VA has something in the pipeline.
