Seems odd that Peppers is on the coughper list.
Aside from Tribe, all the hotel brands from the Mantra group ended up on the coughper list.

Sorry, I should have been clearer.Aside from Tribe, all the hotel brands from the Mantra group ended up on the coughper list.
Presumably it’s because they’re unique to Oz? The core worldwide Accor hotels are still very much Sofitel, Pullman, Mercure, Novotel and Ibis cookie cutter brands (ie generally have the same look and feel - especially Ibis shoebox rooms!).Sorry, I should have been clearer.
I see Peppers as slightly above Novotel and Mercure for quality and they are priced accordingly.
So having them on the coughper list is a disincentive to stay there vs broadly comparable chains.
Have to agree in regards to PQQ, stayed at the Mercure before and it wasn’t great. The Ibis Styles is a great little hotel IMO, excellent ocean views and the room had appeared to be recently updated and was quite comfortablyPresumably it’s because they’re unique to Oz? The plethora of mergers and acquisitions but retaining the old trading names/brands is a tad confusing to say the least. I was just up at PQQ where there’s two Mantras, a Mercure and an Ibis Styles. I stayed at the later, functional but great views out over ocean, and not the coughpiest of points earner. It used to be a Best Western but fitted into the “Ibis Styles” model of a boutiquey 3-4* hotel. The two Mantras are more expensive yet cough earners. I’m not familiar with the inside of the Mantra The Observatory (“Resort”) but it could probably pass as a Pullman, yet they kept the Mantra brand.

I don’t know the exact how and why’s of the earn rates for the various groups but it had something to do with their integration into the Accor group. And Art Hotels
Just booked at a Mantra, which earns cough but a nice big room and clocks me up Gold again. I burned some points because IIRC the go for participating properties is to
And I always have to hunt for the table with the earn rates, so here they are
- burn your reward points on the cough rate properties, because the earn rate on $$$ is rubbish, the price reduction using points is the same, but you still get credited with a night toward status if you are making a part payment, and
- pay in full at Mercure, Novotel, Sofitel that get the full earn rate.

Hey .. Accor Plux Platinum member .. I did the link with QF 3 days ago but still I don't have the Qantas Wine Premium Membership appearing on the Qantas Wine website. Anyone else have this problem? ..best to contact Accor Plus team, Qantas FF Rewards team or Qantas Wine team you think?
The complimentary Qantas Wine Premium membership will be automatically activated within 14 days following successful linking of accounts.
Points redemption with Accor is another area where the ALL programme pales in comparison to others.
Accor's redemptions are always at a cash equivalent rate where 2000 points takes €40 (Euros) off the amount you need to pay for the hotel (similar to QF ASA). Other hotel programmes provide a points cost based on hotel category and/or season (similar to QF Classic Awards).
With Accor this means that at peak times where property prices have very high cash rates, your points rate is also very high. Not to mention that sometimes the cheapest rates are not eligible for points redemption. Additionally unlike an ASA, bookings paid in full using points, don't earn points, status points, and sometimes even night credits.
Don’t worry. Other programs are stealthily heading down that path anyway.Points redemption with Accor is another area where the ALL programme pales in comparison to others.

Yep stuck in the same boat... unable to get the FB delinked... support has not been helping so far!Did anyone else signup for the Flying Blue “Miles+Points” program? We can’t switch to the QF program until the FB one is unlinked. Unfortunately there appears to be no way of doing it ourselves? The Ts&Cs state:
12. TERMINATION OF THE MILES+POINTS SUBSCRIPTION BY THE MEMBER
Members may decide to withdraw from the Miles+Points offer at any time. In order to do so, they must send an email detailing their request via the “Help” section of the Accor.com website or via the website’s “Contact Us” page.
So I contacted them and they replied (reasonably quickly) with the following (contrary to the Ts&Cs):
In order to unlink your Air France account you will need to access your profile and proceed wit (sic) the following instructions:
Go to all.accor.com and log in to your account
Click on your profile (located in the top right hand corner of the website)
Click My Account
Click on Rewards
Scroll to the bottom of the page to the 'More Points more quickly' section
Click on Air France
This will take you to another page, at the bottom of the page click 'Unlink your accounts'
Follow the prompts to confirm the unlinking
Alas, there is no “Air France” to click on. I just see a banner confirming that I’ve signed up for Miles+Points….(but there is a link back to the Ts&Cs….). I’ve gone back to them again requesting they manually unlink.
Anyone else in the Flying Blue poo on this one?
Yeah, I'm in the same boat also. Now I'm not sure whether to change the link-up to QF or leave things as is.Did anyone else signup for the Flying Blue “Miles+Points” program? @oz_mark you are a demon on the Ts and Cs a world class expert thanks yet again!According to Qantas, it can take up to 14 days.
Depends on what you value better. I signed up to FB deal for coughs and giggles freebie points. Had it not been for C19 I’d probably would have had a usable haul of FB points….Yeah, I'm in the same boat also. Now I'm not sure whether to change the link-up to QF or leave things as is.
Yeah, the Flying Blue program gave a token number of status points after your first hotel stay.I hoped there might be a token amount of QFF SCs (maybe 10) on offer for linking accounts initially, but unfortunately this is not the case. I stay at Accor very rarely anyway so I'll be leaving my accounts firmly unlinked for now.
