Qantas to launch in-depth partnership with Accor ALL

Partial points counts as a night, but not as status points if you're looking to earn status using the $$ method (or if going for Diamond). Also doesn't earn reward points or count to any promo's. EG right now ALL have a double your nights promo where reward redemptions will only credit the base nights.
I checked the Ts&Cs after my previous post and they suggest you do earn reward points (possibly status points) on the cash component If you’re using Accor points for part payment.

It’s possible that this is new following the rule change that says you can earn points even when not staying at a property. But I could be wrong joining those dots.

Yep stuck in the same boat... unable to get the FB delinked... support has not been helping so far!
I received an email overnight saying that they’ve sent my request to the “Technical team”.

Just had a penny drop moment. Once upon a time, many hotels were direct QFF partners. Flash your QF card at check-in and points would follow. Perhaps they were thinking those old legacy arrangements? They could be completely unaware of the new partnership….?
I reckon this is quite likely… The properties that are excluded should be the same that are not Accor ALL participating properties; it’s unlikely that they could opt out of the sub-program or promotion, if they want the broader benefits of the program?

Yep, that was my expectation too - so I was very surprised by the response. She said the Accor ALL number had been registered but that there wouldn’t be QFF points. We’ll see what shows up; it’s possible (and I’m hoping) she just got it wrong.

I would not have even mentioned this ALL:Qantas tieup to the front desk staff.

Over the years I have found the knowledge / experience on this forum often surpasses that of those in individual properties. To raise such can result in confusion at best and at worst interference.

I have little doubt your Qantas points will be credited automatically.

We raised it in the context of just checking that my partner’s Accor ALL membership had been linked to the booking. They said yes and I said, “That’s great because we’re pleased to also be getting Qantas points under the new arrangement.” That was when she said she didn’t think the QFF points would be available at this hotel. I said I thought that would be very surprising, since it had been announced with quite some fanfare. She said she’d check - and went to the back to consult a manager. Came back and said the hotel had opted out.

Nevertheless, as I say, that struck me as dubious at the time so I think you’re quite possibly right and they simply had no idea what we were talking about. A bit surprising but entirely possible.

Just going by experience. For example my latest activity says the below. Dates have been changed slightly.

I could of course call up, but it's not really worth it for the points I'd get from the Mantra. And doing this for every reward stay is not the ideal experience.

Anyone received Qantas points yet and can indicate a timeframe?

I checked-out of Novotel Sydney Central on Sunday, and got my ALL points about lunchtime yesterday. No QFF points yet.

oops - saw Novotel in a post you'd replied to and got mixed up. That's something else, then. Buy any Qantas wine recently?

Qantas Frequent Flyer members who are not Qantas Wine Premium members will earn 1 Qantas Point per dollar value and Qantas Wine Premium members will earn 3 Qantas Points per dollar value of Eligible Products and Services purchased or redeemed through qantaswine.com

Well my 12 ALL points from my QF flight last week posted. Now to see how long it takes for the QF points from our Stay on the weekend to post.

12 ALL points are worth about 37 cents by my calculations. Hardly seems worthwhile, but better than nothing I guess?

I have it as 36 cents 😂

But yes, better than nothing. I suppose if you were buying long haul J fares you may earn something more significant. This was a ~$140 discount Y fare.

I wonder if these points would count as activity to keep ALL points from expiring if you didn't have a stay for a year.

They should. Now that the rules have changed.

That could well be the main benefit of this!
But unlike the FB hookup (which is worldwide stays), it won’t help peeps overseas keeping their QFF points alive.
